  1. Wouldn't be nice with a MTB cassette either. Here's mine: Sobre Single starr¹ von niconj auf Flickr Sobre Single starr² von niconj auf Flickr I have already gotten rid of the bashguard and have mounted a sixpack leader handlebar that goes along nicely with the headset. I also swapped the slx top caps of my brake levers with the black Shimano ones. Looks so much better now.
  2. Well, I've already removed the frame stickers as I really didn't like them. As the tyre decals can't be removed, I won't even bother even though it looks much better IMO.
  3. I wouldn't spend more money on a Middleburn especially not for trials use. Just get a cheap Shimano chainring. Those last for ages!
  4. Yeah. I thought about taking off the stickers and probably will.
  5. Better picture: Because Simple Trials 24'' von niconj auf Flickr
  6. You win as much washing mashines as you can carry alone. Gosh. This translation is horrible.
  7. Are you sure? From what I've read only the ones with the integrated crown race broke. Thanks. It's not as light as other bikes (just under 10kg) but enough for what I'm able to do with it. I will make better pictures soon as these aren't very sharp.
  8. To do list: FFW and Echo TR Rear wheel. Because Simple Trials² von niconj auf Flickr Because Simple Trials von niconj auf Flickr
  9. Quite the contrary. It has to be strong for I'm strong (not as a rider but I have some strength in my legs).
  10. Well, I'm looking for a rather light but strong wheel. I was thinking of using DT Comp spokes, an Echo TR hub and a rim; just don't know which one yet. I don't care if it's single or double walled, as long as it holds up to my non-trial skills. Why don't you anymore?
  11. Any experience with Because rims? Does the different hole size matter for stability?
  12. Hm... if that is so, are there any differences between an Neon Single Wall 47mm and a Trialtech Single Wall 47mm rear rim performance wise?
  13. Hello, since I'm planning on building a new rear wheel I was wondering whether I could use a front rim (Echo TR for ex.) on the back? The reason is that I am running a Maxxis Highroller and don't know whether it would fit my Because Simple on the rear when mounting a 47mm rim. Currently I am running a Spank Stiffy which is 40mm. What do you recon? Would an Echo TR 39mm be stiff enough on the rear? I weigh around 80kg. Thanks, Nico.
  14. Nope. You're not. We have discussed this video on another board already and the majority thinks that it sucks riding-wise.
  15. What tools do you have at hand? Just go on with tightening the nipples the same amount. Go around the wheel and turn them 1/2 turn each and keep going until you reach a good spoke tension. You might use 1/4 turns or even 1/8 ones then. I always tighten the drive side on the rear and the disc side (if it's a disc wheel) on the front first to the maximum spoke tension that is allowed by the manufacturer*. Then pull it in the middle with the other side. *obviously after having reached a certain spoke tension already on the entire wheel
  16. 5'11''. I'll get the trialtech 165x35° then. It's not too expensive...
  17. I disagree. And the price... unbeatable.
  18. You can get new Stiffies in green too. 20€ each.
  19. Here's a video of myself doing some BWHs. Maybe you could tell me if a longer and steeper stem would help at all. Beware, I'm a beginner (half a year) and don't know very much and it might just be the lack of technique, rather than a different stem. http://videos.mtb-news.de/embed/player/33952
  20. Ask Ali C. He might give you some more insight as to why the 810 is better than the 820. In short: yes! I did exactly the same thing. The seller from Taiwan is really quick. Got the lever in under a week to Germany. I couldn't be more happy with the performance of my self made saint 810. I even like the original resin pads that the zee comes with. Also, the saint caliper is exactly the same and costs the same. I just got the Zee with discount.
