  1. Looks really, nice, just sublte, with well placed straight forwald tubes, love it Chrome like finish is cool too.
  2. Problem is that the idea isnt just to fill the break with fluid, but to have absolutly no air bubbles in the system, so if you blead one side, then put the bolt in it, theres a chance an air bubble would go into the side you'd already done while you were doing the other side. If that makes sence. I think the easy'st way would be to bleed the system putting fluid into the master (lever) so that it goes through the system and out of both slaves at once, then when theres no air in it, just put all the bolts in carefuly.
  3. Yeah, genraly stear clear of try-all rims, i swear there made of some kind of cheese. New echos seem pretty nice, tougher alloy and more subtly looks than the try-all. I know alot of people swear by the Onza, but I cant really comment myself as I havent used one. Alex DX32 is definatly worth a look, If you want it drilled, get out the hole saw (also comes under many different names, eg planet X BMF)
  4. Hey, If you use the splitter when you bleed the break you will have to bleed it through both slaves rather than just the one that the hose doesn't go into, guess the easy'st way to do this would be to bleed it the oposite way to useual, like push the liquid into the lever, so it comes out both slaves evenly. As for the bolts, Titaniums not a super metal that can only be cut with a lazer, but lazer cutting is quite commonly used on it, as its less waistfull, which is more important with an expencive metal. Its around the same strength as steel, only fractionaly weeker, but it weights alot less (but not as little as aluminium), this gives it a great strength to weight ratio, so its great for things where weight and strength matter, ie bolts (or most things on a bike really)
  5. I know you can't post in it dude, but worth a look: Pad reviews
  6. Do you ride competitively? [no] Do you perform maintenance whilst out riding, either to fix something, or fine tune it? [yes] Do you currently have a workstand? [yes] Can you drive? [no] If yes, what kind of car do you have? [hatch] (mothers) [estate] (fathers) How do you transport your bike in the car? [boot mounted rack][boot] (depends how many of us) Do you carry a number of tools with you? [yes] When working on your bike, do like them within reach, say on a tray attached to the work stand? [yes]
  7. Argos cycles do nice spray jobs. As for welding go down you're local industrial estate and ask around, I got my old koxx re-welded really nicely for free because some guy was boaded of welding the same old shit all day, haha. But about 3 places said they could for like £15, and thats only in a small town.
  8. You'll need a new olive yeah, there only like 50p normaly With alot of braided hose's you have to strip the plastic off the outside of them where you put the olive on, so that the olive is sitting on the bare metal. I know you have to with goodridge/hope anyway.
  9. Z-cars mini with a buso engine. Ford GT40 Mitsubishi Galant estate (the effing quick one so I could have fun and take bikes places and everyday use) The crazy little half race car half go kart thing sat in one of our college rooms, but with the suspension sorted out. bowler wildcat
  10. As a rule theres 4 main types of fine spline 3-piece spindles that are all cross compatible, so unless you're cranks use a pinch bolt, they should fit be either a 19mm 36 or 48 spline, or 22mm 36 or 48 spline. lengths up to you and how much spaceing you want to put on. the DMR spindle looks like a 36 spline, and if Kierons rite they will be a 19mm, If you have a look at your cranks you should be able to measure the spindle diamiter (don't need to be exact, it'll either be 19mm or 22mm) and count the splines . Then once you know what size/spline number spindle you're looking for you can start properly looking. If you wanna double check the size of that DMR spindle give CRC a call or e-mail, there all friendly guys there!
  11. Haha, I'm listening to porcelain right now! just by Thursday not moby, although both are good. S.O.S. - Mad Caddies (awesome abba cover) Must I paint you a picture - Billy Brag (nice slow one) Ten Speed (of god's blood and burial) - Coheed and Cambria Should I stay or should I go - The Clash Crooked Teeth - Death Cab For Cutie You Can't touch this - MC Hammer
  12. After having about £2500 worth of bike nicked from my garden and only getting £1000 of it back (2 bikes nicked, one recovered) we got our house insurance changed so that it covers up to £3000 worth of 'personal posetions' outside the house, which included bikes. I think my mum said it added about £9 or something stupidly small onto our house insurance a month. The bit that would be interesting to you, is that when we asked, they also said it covered my brothers posetions while he was at uni, just not in his hall/student. I dunno if that means much to you, but if you recon that your rooms fairly safe, it might be worth looking into, think its with M&S weirdly.
  13. Haha, good point, I mean, look at Poopipes signature!
  14. Would have to be an old closed system lever, like on the C2s, I have seen it done before, but the leverage ratios are all wrong and the maggie would be mega sencitive to adjustment, so your rim would have to be insanely straight, and It'd flex like a bugger.
  15. It is possible to chrome plate steel, it just flakes allot easyer. There are loads of aluminium BMX rims that are chromed, and Car alloy wheels are oftern chromed too, there not solid steel of the car would stuggle to move!
  16. Might be in hear? Just read thruogh and nope, its not. So anyone know a release date?
  17. I'm should be getting my 24" in about 5 weeks-ish, and me and Broomer have decided that every evening after college/school we're both just gunna go out on our bikes, whatever the weather, whatever the temperature, whatever the lights like. If its dark, u get used to it, or find street lighting, if its cold where more cloths, if its raining just stick to grippy surfaces and get wet!. (well this is all assuming its not just plain dangerous, and we don't have college work to do. So unless the hells have opened up or my maths teachers been a tit, I'm gunna be out there on my bike. . But I wanna get crankflips and 360s dialed before the winter sets in properly. As for the times when its just gunna be plain dangerous to ride, hey, I might have a girlfriend by then .
  18. Yeah, if you put on alot of my albums you'd get like random introductory tracks for no reason. also, it would be kinda anoing that the music would be so random, as I listen to a wide veriety of music. Ive got a 6gb Creative Zen Micro, Its my 2nd warenty replacement, but i think this ones actualy going to last. but if I'm riding I normaly just whack some music on my phone.
  19. What college are you going to? You still in taunton yeah? (if u dont know who I am and are there for worried, then you should be. I'm secretly stalking you, nah, I'm the random guy that came with prawn to the comp where you beat him in for the first time.
  20. Haha. Guys I hate to break it to you, but the top ones jail bate. think shes soon to turn 16. middle ones my age (17) but a mates ex, and the bottom ones 18, but has a really serious boyfriend, and anyway, if she didn't she'd be mine!! grrr..... You honestly think they'd just be mates if there wasnt a good reason Spot on!
  21. Haha, cool topic. My dads an XC jay boy, so gets how hard it is to do all this stuff, and is a bit of a legend about it. although as far as helping me outs conserned, he'll lend me money, but hes always like ''you change you're bike every 30 seconds'' because he doesnt get that its not like XC where u can keep a frame for years and years. As far as mechanics go I end up fixing his bike lol. My brother thinks its pretty cool, because some of his mates ride jump and stuff. My mums also pretty cool with it, untill I hurt myself, but that normaly results in some free pads or something like that. lol, like last yeah I tore a bunch of ligaments in my ankle becuase my foot slipped on my pedel doing a stair drop, and I got a free set of shin/knee and elbow/arm pads and a full face (I ride freeride too). She still doesn't get that it was the dodgy old pedals fault and that body armour would have done cock all lol. But they both always give me lifts places to ride, which rules!
  22. Go for Black forks! matching frame and forks can look a bit ghey unless there both black! You're gunna need something longer than GUs or BTs, Because your frames designeed for suspention so you need a long fork, I'd say you're best bet would be some DMR trailblades, or atleast something of a similar length. Trailblade IIs Trailblade Is They need to be long, because otherwise the front of the bike will be dropped alot, making the angles of the bike alot steeper, in your case as much as 3 degres, which is alot. And your BB will become really low, which will ride like a pile of wank.

    24" Geo

I should be getting a 24" Iolo built With the same Geo but 1040 wheel-base. He should have got it doen in 6 weeks at the latest. It's costing me £385 but thats with some little extras . A standard frame would be £350. And I'll definatly be getting lots of pics up when its done . Edit: Fixing typing errors.
