  1. the trick is getting past your bad foot position, but essentially you want to be in exactly the same position as a forwards manual and try and keep even pedal pressure at all times. This is pretty tricky and at first you'll find it hard to make the transition between foot positions easily, unfortunately I don't have any magic tips other than practice and to try as hard as you can to keep that even pressure.
  2. You posted it on a Sunday afternoon then only waited a couple of hours - people are going to be out riding, doing things, etc. rather than at home on a computer. I've never had a problem with the standard bearings so haven't really had to switch to anything else.
  3. a pedal washer can help too, sometimes you get them with cranks or pedals, but you should be able to find something in B&Q that should do the job.
  4. front freewheel makes the cranks spin when your feet are not on the pedals making no footed moves harder.
  5. had one of the worst crashes on my trials bike for a while, fell 10ft into an extreme push-up. Came out of it pretty un-scathed which makes me happy.
  6. You did well posting Rich Forne's video Ross, it's possibly one of my all time fave web edits! Unfortunately you then ruined your name by posting possibly the worst BMX video I've seen.
  7. I punctured one on my first ride, did catch it on an edge mind so I'm no overly surprised, but they are pretty dam light. Just don't buy them for their puncture resistance.
  8. really ugly, no curved tubes please Echo
  9. that ender is pretty nuts!
  10. seems Benito has been quite good at them for a while... Flip surly has the record for brakeless and "underhand" sidehops though.

    eBay find...

Actually, after looking at other patriots on ebay I'm going to say these bikes are probably not worth more than the starting price. There are plenty of better bikes on Ebay for around the same price.

they almost seem like a mix of forks, maybe even two uppers bolted together. The badly spelled and worded "descriptions" make me suspicious too.

they are extremely dated bikes, that orange will be from early 2000's and they have such a random mix of parts. The forks on all the bikes are next to useless, the brakes all seem to not work etc. I'd say that Orange was worth around £600-£700, but if you bought it to actually ride you'd need to spend a few hundred more on it. Decent modern Patriots might go for £2000, but not 10 year old ones with weird forks and parts.
  14. Jesus give up with the "don't buy from Tarty" thing you've got going on.
  15. instead of coming across as a complete tool in every topic you could have searched for yourself instead of demanding a link. It seems Hans has been filming indoors in Germany with a load of people and there might even be a video in the appropriate section of the forum.
  16. I've never used the free returns thing with Chainreaction anyway, seems like hassle when I could save time and just spend a pound or two instead.
  17. I've been at a few skateparks over winter and you know when someone has these hubs because you can hear them a mile off. They are so loud it's horrible, it's not even a nice click, it's a really horrible click.
  18. Tarty do Pricematch and you're unlikely to want to return a chain.
