  1. Its nothing to do with a sense of humour, its just blatantly taking the piss.
  2. I iz nt gerrin nE bYke bits co'z i iz gerrin a camera insted. EDIT: oops, i accidentally spelt because properly :$
  3. It is round here, christmas eve me and mates are meeting up around lunchtime to go have a few pints and exchange gifts etc. Christmas eve evening going to a family friends house for meal and piss up. Boxing day, lounge around the house with my cousin playing computer games, watching crap tv and drinking quite excessively. New years eve is either go out in town again or go to my cousins for their yearly house party. New years eve out in town is good, but can be VERY expensive as most of the clubs/bars make the most of everyone wanting to celebrate and bump up the prices of drinks accordingly. The atmosphere is awesome though, everyones happy and saying happy new year to each other, running around laughing etc. Pretty weird actually.
  4. To change nero oem into the full thing its just a case of typing in one of the serial codes that allows dvd access. If its nero 6 i have the code you can use, if you have nero 7.... well, its available from "those" types of places
  5. Do you not have a nero suite installed? You can record dvd's from avi files using that. Just need to import the avi file, make up the menu and tell it to start and it'll encode+burn everything for you. Its what i always use.
  6. But if it works on vista, it works on vista. If its not working because of a hardware or software conflict, then its his computer. Vista was beta tested i took part in it, and i'm pretty sure tom (the admin on here) took part in it. Vista was ready for general release, its everyone else who wasn't... people just like to blame microsoft because of their previous track record.
  7. That guy with the blue bt... i don't think trials is really his sport He just seems to stop thinking about what he's doing mid move and mess up in a spectacular ragdoll fashion. The drop off the set of four or so pallets at that demo/comp was classic, nice and simple... looks like he got bored and forgot how to ride off them, lmao. That aside, it was a pretty good bails video... maybe he'd suit freeriding/downhill more?
  8. The entire halo series has been made in the same time. In fact, sod that thats a bit nu-skool. Every Unreal, every Unreal Tournament, and every game that has used any of the Unreal engines have been released and even every single Tony Hawk and extreme sport spin-off game.
  9. I dunno. I see what your saying, but i still can't help but feel that if its on the front cover of a magazine, he should be wearing a helmet. Fair enough, theres probably a lot of young impressionable kids who are quite sensible that see it the way you've just mentioned, that he wouldn't do it if he couldn't. But i'm sure theres also a lot of people who don't put two and two together and would go out and try tailwhipping off something huge just because they saw it on a magazine. Theres also the issue of people seeing him doing something that big without a helmet and thinking they won't need it for something smaller, but possibly far more dangerous, especially if they don't have the ability to pull it off. The picture itself also doesn't show whether theres any other obstacles that could cause serious injury should he fall off and just slide/tumble at speed straight into them.
  10. So body armour reduces chances of injury but a helmet won't? I've landed on the corner of a wall with sufficient force to completely split a helmet before. I'm confident that without the helmet i wouldn't be here now, and if by some miracle i was, i wouldn't still be riding. Helmets DO reduce the risk... FACT. Comparing it to drivers perception on roads is pretty weird too, the bmx'er is intending to put himself in a high-probability, life threatening situation, the motorcyclist isn't in quite such a situation... i mean motorcyclists don't generally go round the corner knowing full well that theres a higher chance of them getting hurt than not... then complicating it further by spinning the bike underneath them? All safety promotion issues aside, fair play to him for making it... shame about no lid though.
  11. Come back home for Christmas tonight, can't settle and can't get to sleep... for some weird reason i actually prefer the unpadded spring-in-your-back mattress from my uni house
  12. Meh, I'm not religious in the slightest so as far as I'm concerned Jesus doesn't have anything to do with Christmas either. I do look forward to being with friends and family who've all been so far away this year, will be great to see them again.
  13. Maybe your arms are shorter than your legs? In the natural proportions obviously.
  14. But the point is vista should work the same, despite various hardware configurations... thats why they do beta testing. The fact that it isn't working properly on his computer suggests it is something wrong with his computer especially when other people are running it fine. Vista doesn't change the way it runs depending on what brand/type of hardware you have so it won't be a problem with vista itself. The biggest hint is that its telling him the display drivers are crashing, which means he needs to try new drivers or maybe even a new video card. The drivers for 32bit vista are fine, and the ones for 64bit vista will be up to scratch pretty damn soon.
  15. Yep, sure is. The standard KMC's are better than that drilled one too though. With regards to has it happened with my chain before, sure has... many times. Done the exact same thing to a standard KMC kool and done it a couple of times to a KHE collapse as well.
  16. Wasn't there a big thing between RB and supercycles with supercycles holding the import rights for the uk. Supercycles had an issue with rb and now they aren't importing them. Something like that anyway.
  17. Can't be arsed to text again mate, but yeah... lets do a late night ride. I'll stick a grind on and whack the 95a's in
  18. I wouldn't worry too much about them finding cs2 and stuff as being fake. It'd mean they'll have to trawl through your computer checking registration codes and sending them off to manufacturers to see if they're legit. Its a lot of hassle and i'm sure they'll just wipe your drive back to standard retail and try to find what the problem is from there. They'll probably fit a new hard drive and see if they can get it running from that, if they fix it they'll try it with yours in... if still no luck it'll most likely get wiped. I don't know for sure but i'm fairly sure they won't go checking everything.
  19. Mark had one for a while, supercycles was/is based in notts too so i guess theres a strong possibility that they let someone around there ride one and he was just out for a quick session. If its not on the site/sites though i'd be inclined to say its just another proto model being used and not a production one. P.s. Sorry i didn't text back earlier mate, lazyness got the better of me. Looking to start your picture tomorrow
  20. I agree whole heartedly with simon in the fact that i hope you guys don't tarnish the names of riders everywhere in the eyes of local councils due to your petty ignorance and complete immaturity. At least you guys will have a place to yourself, can't imagine many people will want to come and ride with you.
  21. Looks pretty good mate, well done. Home made parts are great!
  22. Can't really tell if thats sarcasm or not so.... Nobody has "ripped" your area. Someone with experience in these kind of things said the area isn't all that big and advised that you should probably look at using the extra land you said is nearby as did mark. Nobodies taken the piss, nobodies said its shit, its all been constructive and with the best of intentions.... i think its just you who's mis-interpreted it and started being all defensive.
  23. I'm bigger than you and i still had 3 guys try and take mine the other week. I swear, if i hadn't literally gave him (threw at him) my bike when he asked for it i wouldn't still have it. Don't rely on your size being something that'll keep you out of everything, while it works a lot of the time it isn't something that's going to help much if it comes to fighting them. At the end of the day every situation is different, there's no general approach to a situation and using your head is always the best solution. Gauge the situation properly, if you think they'll back down stand your ground, if you think you can take them all down without getting too badly hurt yourself do it, but remember the type of people they could be, the area your in and the fact that although it doesn't sound hard, your life is more important than your bike. If you decide to fight for your bike in a situation that holds very little odds in your favour then things can get pretty serious. We all see stories of people getting shot and stabbed and beaten to death just for walking down the street at the wrong time and the mentality behind someone who can carry out something like that is something I'm sure 90% of the people on this forum wouldn't stand a chance against.
  24. Because it makes sense and is helpful. He's passing on his knowledge for free to try and help you have a better place to ride so your not stuck with 4 obstacles and no room to move. I also happen to think he's right, if he's guessed his measurements right from that picture you've put up i'd be inclined to say that whilst it might look big while its empty, its going to fill up very fast and you'll be stuck for space. Look at it this way, if you have two obstacles big enough to fit a bike on comfortably, then have a decent sized gap between them (7 foot or so) you've lost around 1/3 of your space along one of the long edges, and thats just for one gap.
