  1. that's cos its a f**king stupid concept. If it worked properly you'd be able to bone your best mates girlfriend and he'd let you off cos you're mates.
  2. it's me falling on my arse hopping up a wall in the crash vids too. It basically looks like someone's tonked it with a bat, it's a nice round dent no more than a quarter of the depth of the tube. i rode it for a few months after with no troubles at all. T-pro's are evidently pretty bloody solid The frame's upstairs and im lazy so no pic now but if there's genuine vague interest in having it (adam?) I'll be happy to get some together.
  3. rover 400 1.6si cos it's the only car I own
  4. they're 110 quid on half price replacement - nobody's gonna give me anything close to that even for a brand new one on account of it not having CZAR CNC'd into every flat surface (anyone interested in such a deal should pm me though).
  5. good lad. that's the actual frame getting dented - I was fortunate enough to be on camera when made a complete gash out of the tiny little gap
  6. yeah, I have no idea one 2005 t-pro frame, pretty good condition apart from a rail sized dent in the downtube (no signs of cracking) or anything. pics of dent...
  7. you have to click on the thumbnail on cs2/3 rather than any part of the layer
  8. - winston churchill wasn't it? anyway. I put these on my desktop so i can check my meshes for mistakes with max closed. oh well, i might be a 3d nerd but at least i dont have pictures of oiled, muscley men on it
  9. the gimp will do you fine then. its better than psp and most other photshop clones - plus its free
  10. i dont feel right posting in here cos i drink every day :$
  11. up to a point that's doable but the ultras tend to have faster memory chips etc so it's not just a case of unblocking a couple of pixel pipes and you've magically got yourself an ultra - it'll improve matters for sure but you're not going to get the same grunt unless all the hardware on the board is identical. pretty much any PCI - E card should work on your hardware - I'd guess you have the same chipset as mine being a 939 (ive got a gigabyte k8nxp SLI board if that helps) the only thing I can't do is run 2 dual core cards on it (ie 4x SLI)
  12. GIMP is ok if you're not going to do much more than some intermediate level photo editing - serious work requires Photoshop. edit: yes, piracy is evil and I am repentant
  13. friday : nurse sick child saturday: nurse sick child, maybe get out for an hour or so on the bike, continue to nurse sick child sunday: nurse sick child if there's a better advert for durex I've yet to see it
  14. they've also moved all the bloody keyboard shortcuts in cs3 which id plain gay. ooh, ooh I just wanted to say that piracy is not allowed on this forum and I don't want to be a part of it
  15. from the original list I'd take the one at the top however - none of them are all that attractive so i'm with rr trials on this one,
  16. his machine is probably of a similar vintage to mine which does a fine job of running HL2 with the two cards. The first game I noticed CPU bottlenecks on was bf2142 and everything since then has gtten worse. on the two card front- the 7950 gx2 or whatever it's called is two chips on one card so that's one person to shout at and you get your SLI.
  17. you'll have two big PCI express slots but that still doesn't guarantee its SLI capable. find out the exact model number of your motherboard and ask the interweb how big is your power supply ? - you'll want 500watts as an absolute bare minimum to run 2 cards (or one really big one) oh - regarding the X2 CPU - I think you'd need a bios upgrade unless you bought the machine pretty recently
  18. Never a bad idea but I don't see it helping much with the games. CPU is going to be the bottleneck once the graphics are dealt with.
  19. You'll be able to play HL2 based games at a decent level of detail if you run 2 graphics cards (I have a slightly better cpu and mobo with a pair of 6600GTs and it runs absolutely fine) Assuming you have an SLI capable motherboard I'd suggest a pair of (at least 256mb) geforce 7900 based cards. If you don't, get the fattest single core 7900 you can find Before anyone rants on about 8800s you're not going to be able to play anything that requires an 8 series card on that CPU - it's too old and slow for the newer games.

    Problem Page!

I thought he'd died so I didn't bother texting him then I lost his number. If you still see him about get him to send me text cos i miss him.
  21. tarty will be charging the normal price, trials-uk will be charging a massively discounted price due to shady import dealings (no offence Dan) . I believe (this is not a fact) that you're less likely to get the full warranty when things are bought via the shady import method
  22. I'm on the orange badger/racoon/whatever its called. as a valued customer i get 225 minutes, unlimited evening/weekend landline and orange calls, hundreds of texts, free orange world access and some other crap I can't remember. They'd have given me £100 call credit for my old handset if I'd remembered to take it into the shop before the deadline. total cost every month including VAT and (decent) insurance is about £35. I think I get discounted line rental though on account of having been a customer forever.
  23. sorry they are good, I wouldn't have bothered otherwise. I've been posting some work on 3d forums of late and the extensive criticism you get on those has clearly influenced me.
