LONDON - Ozonys Street Meet - 15th March
Ash-Kennard replied to Jake.'s topic in Member Organised Rides
Big rides in all cities seems to have been lost. I blame the trains for being shit all round, city councils for making parking a massive f**king faff for anywhere free and buses because they are useless for people with bikes who dont want to ride them long distances. how many people came to the legendary london ride 01/03/2009? must have been more than 100 easily. shame i wont be able to make it guys, have a gooden -

to be honest, i would say the S2 is still an excellent phone, especially for the money. really easy to use and looks great, and is still fast enough for the vast majority of apps

Any news on the Skye Conti tyres? really want a pair haha

Does anyone know what gear ratio danny runs? and what length cranks?

I thoroughly rate the echo brakes too. On the rear I have the original dengura full lever (basically a hench SL for you newbies) with maggie slaves, it has been perfect, no leaks, no cracks, solid lever, can be bled with water on maggie slaves, so is quick too. Also, well over 5 years old! Same thing on the front with the new tr lever and maggie slaves. adjuster winds off an irritating amount, but a dab of loctite does the trick. on the 24" i have a tr front disc and a tr full rear rim brake. the slaves on the rim brake have been a pain in the arse, but I now have some maggie slaves to swap on. and the disc brake has also been a bit of a pain, but changed the pads and the rotor for hope bits and it is great now! if you really dont like the echo stuff, the racing line lever looks best IMO also, for everyone saying metal is better. Its not the fact is is made of metal, it is because magura cast their 05 lever bodies so they are very porous, making them snap happy. whereas the RL levers are CNCed from billet aluminium, a much better manufacturing technique, but more expensive and unlikely to create fractures during general usage. The plastic levers on the new maguras is a good idea, and had they done it right, could have been very good, but once again magura f**k it up... don't knock the plastic until you know exactly what they have been using, and how it is made before you compare to a CNCed alu lever body. Cheers, Ash

that looked savage

Link Will this work for trials? maybe not these tyres, but the concept in general? In my head it seems like the sidewalls will be very thin as they dont have to worry about pinching them, so could be really bouncy. But, the dual pressures could be potentially problematic on super wide trials rims, and rims with holes obviously, getting it sealed correctly. Would it burp air like some tubeless tyres? DISCUSS

looks like they have been cracked for a fair while before they went. I recommend the mag MG-1's and ti axles on ebay are about £50 quid and under 300g!

Today I finally got my computer! very pleased with it aesthetically, will build it at the weekend. Also got a touch screen monitor (thank you Ian) it is meant to be a number crunching machine so I can run CAE projects from home. But im not sure whether I will use it for gaming, haven't got a graphics card as the cheapest ones were worse than the one built in already so seemed pointless right now. Spent alot of time picking components as I was on a budget, went over 400 when i went quad core unfortunately. but still, quad core heres the list, what do you think? Ill get some build pics this weekend hopefully cheers, ash -
this is bad this is better this was best cheers, ash
