  1. No and no. All trials bikes use a Euro size bottom bracket shell unless they say otherwise e.g. the 2011 echo range.
  2. Sweet lil vid mate, it's nice when a seemingly plain object can be the source of so much riding
  3. Few changes and some new pics. Ignore the yellow floor!
  4. Really nicely put together, location looked awesome. Good tune too, not heard that mix.
  5. Aye, Shimano have a marketing name for everything! Back to the new pic, what was wrong with the cranks? Not sure on the red either
  6. You do realise Hollowtech, refers to how the crank arms are just that, hollow. Hollowtech 2 refers to cranks that use hollow arms, with the BB axle integrated into the drive side arm and uses an external BB. The BB you're talking about may work with the original hollowtech cranks, but its an Octalink BB. Oh and the Deore/LX/XT Octalink BB's were different to the XTR/Dura-Ace BB's, so it might look similar but the splines are slightly different.
  7. Yeah it's an XTR Octalink bb, pretty sure they were the same as the Dura-Ace Octlink bb's. Not cheap and pretty hard to come by.
  8. This what you're after next then Nath? I only said so because it's pretty damn close to my Hydroxx
  9. Pretty much spot on then.
  10. They are bloody lovely, not really that pricey when compared to pretty much any of the competition brand frames such as Koxx, Rockman, Atomz or Ozonys.
  11. To be fair to Halfords it does state that ratchets aren't covered by the warranty, so he was only doing what he was supposed. And as has been said the price point between the Halfords set and a Snap-On set of the same size is a bit different. You as a business might get good discounts, but a member of Joe public I can't imagine receiving the same benefits. Also as Blue point are the 'budget' part of the Snap-On company I company, I really don't seem them being exactly the same quality; seems slightly counter productive from a business point of view don't you think.
  12. Just going on my current set up i would say plastic. I've switched from cousts in metal backings (Heatsink) to cousts in plastic backings (direct from Mr Coustellier) and there is a marked difference in performance. Can only really be the backing that's making the difference as everything else is the same. My Rock blues in CNC backings were pretty damn good too.
  13. The only thing I don't think about my Halfords Advance socket set, is the ratchets, they just don't seem very positive. Mine seem to lock up quite frequently and I'm sure the life time guarantee doesn't cover them. But value for money wise it's pretty damn good.
  14. I guess not as the geo he is getting the new frame made to, isn't the same as what Koxx or Rockman have out at the moment.
  15. The first 26 seconds of that video will explain how then to stretch the spring and remove everything without the Ck tool follow the video that's already been posted.
  16. The axle may be, but once you've taken that out it's all the same.
  17. In which case it's something other than the pads you're using that's at fault. Try a different rim, new grind and everything set up perfectly. Shouldn't really be having any problems with the yellows.
  18. No but it could protect you from brain damage...
