  1. Just read the article on him in the latest issue of Dirt, the most gifted bike rider of all time? Bloody awful this crash, takes him out of the year so to speak. Hope he heals up soon.
  2. Well i'd plump for a 550lbs (although using the Mojo spring weight calculator it suggests a 600lbs spring). As you're intending to lose some weight a 550 should be fine
  3. Sweet lil vid, spot looks amazing! What happened to that Rockman frame you were riding Jack?
  4. Plain gauge spokes won't really make much difference to the strength of the build at all. Get a double wall rim, butted spokes and get it built by someone who is known for being able to build a good strong wheel. If you're still breaking stuff, then it's your riding at fault.
  5. Constructive design authority, for the MOD overseeing the nuclear submarines at Devonport. A house, maybe a family and with a smile on my face. But for now i'll keep on chugging along and see how it goes.
  6. Some of us Plymouth lot went to the Cligga Head ride in Cornwall that was posted a week or so ago in the rides thread. Dartmoor next weekend methinks.
  7. Encore! Encore! Like riding a bike, you just ever forget how.
  8. Your ERD seems way out, guess you've mis-typed it. But even if the decimal place is missing you seem a bit out. I'd trust the dimensions from tarty and as long as you put everything in correctly on the DT site then you'll be fine, I've always used it and i think Tarty do too.
  9. Pretty sure any M4 allen bolt will do.
  10. Yeah, steel braze on mounts aren't going to be much use with a alu frame... Get the evo mounts sorted or just sell the magura and get a v brake sorted.
  11. Find the rim on tartybikes, take note of the rim ERD. Then find the hub and note the dimensions given for the flange diameters and spacing. Go on the DT Swiss website, use their spoke calculator with the dimensions you've noted and SHAZAM! you'll have your spoke lengths. I'd do it for you, but you might as well learn how to use the calculator for future use. If you want us to check your results, take a screen shot of the calculator once you've filled it all out and post it up here.
  12. Might be in for Portland on Monday.
  13. Bikes require maintenance, bolts tightening etc. other wise bits break or fall off.

    Clean 001

Jizzzzzzzzzz. Seriously awesome stuff. Ali is better than all of you (myself very much included). Want more Rowan riding Clean 2 soon please.
  15. They do look pretty damn nice, what tubing are you using? Who's welding them up? I mean credentials experience etc? I guess they're Tig welded and what sort of prices are they coming out at for a standard frame and with custom geo? Got to say though Pete, look tidy.
  16. Yeah it would, but bear in mind you stand on the cranks so dont go removing too much!
  17. Longer BB , it's the only method really. What cranks and bb do you have at the moment, if you're using ISIS you could use a BB axle spacer to give you a little more clearance, but it's only a very small amount.
  18. Well you know i'm in be good to see you again mate.
  19. That was awesome really good stuff.
  20. Joe will the higher end 20" bikes, mainly the top end comp mod frames/bikes still come with bash guard mounts? Think they should go really.
  21. Definitely! Be nice to see Onza putting out the frames they've been prototyping for a while, maybe with a few tweaks.
