  1. Keep up Matt, I even mentioned in reply to your earlier comment! It probably looks like a Koxx/Rockman/Onza mish mash because there is only so much you can do with a super light frame using round tubes around a certain geometry and weight. Change the tube profile too much and they won't be strong enough and lots of CNC bits and it won't be the target weight etc. Guess that's why it's got the webbing at the "seat tube" and Onza's unique dropout system. Looks more of an evolution of the Limey 4 frame. Got to agree with the headtube cut out bit, why not make it the other way up or a symmetrical hole? Guess because the headtube was in a parts bin and thought, that'll do! I like it, 1Kg is stupid light, get rid of the bash mounts (they'll never be needed) and changed the headtube? Then just see how it goes I guess. Don't know if post mount is the best way forwards though, not unless Hope change their mono trials. How have the Mono V2 brakes performed in comparison? Could use a Formula The One brake, same size pistons as a Mono Trial but post mount?
  2. I wish they would stop putting bloody bash mounts on their lightweight high bb mod frames?
  3. That isn't a hope mono trial on the rear of the Koxx, it's a Hope Mono V2. Slightly smaller pistons and post mount obviously!
  4. That's nice, I like. Are hope going to make the move to post mount trials brakes?
  5. Running a front 180mm mono trial and feels spot on. No adaptors, you just need to get the correct calliper.
  6. Keep the Zoo, you've only had it three month's and what you'd lose on it wouldn't be justifiable. 15% off isn't really enough of a discount to warrant getting rid of a 3 month old bike!
  7. If you've got your brake set up correctly you really shouldn't need a booster as has been said. Just spend some time getting everything square and bled perfectly if you're getting some lever squish.
  8. Beasty stuff, powerful but controlled.
  9. That was awesome, some huge riding. Nose wheelie across the stone bench/block was sweet
  10. That's really tidy, really nice deep red too.
  11. Guess the extra rise on the 26" stem makes sense, it'll work better with the Sky 2. Plus I'm sure it makes manufacturing cheaper. Once set of dies for all the stems, cut to length and weld a clamp on that's common to all stems. Short stem is interesting
  12. Yeah the CNC backed cousts did wear down faster. I appreciate things are down to set up. It's why I'm doing everything on my own bike, set up by me, same rim etc. I know setup is dependant on many other factors, but surely I'm not going to set one of pads up any worse than another (I don't intentionally want a shit brake, that wouldn't be very healthy!) and I'm sure during the life of the pads they wont be set up just once. Just my thinking that over a duration, with wheels getting removed, brakes being re-set up, rims re-ground etc. for both sets, then things should come out fairly even with regards to set up which would effectively rule that one out? I know brake pads are and their performance is totally reliant on set up, but I can only base my experience of the two types of pads on the various bikes I've ridden with them. The only time the Heatsink Cousts in CNC backings came out on top was when they were run on a vee by Mr Pearson, they've been good on a magura (as mine are at the moment) just never quite as good as the alternative Cousts. Meh.
  13. So Matt you're issue is that were are living in a capitalist consumer based world that exploits the weak minds, fickle natures and money driven goals of the people that live on it? Think pretty much since the origins of currency of any form that's been there. Just now with more money about and everything being more accessible it's sucked the majority of people in.
  14. He's not feeling been fed anymore lies than you seem to be munching up like Pac-Man after a fast. Plus his "lies" do seem to have a little more credibility, with a bit more evidence to back them up. But of course, that's lies too....
  15. Cheers for the off Tom, but being a tart I'll be buying a pair of new rims just not sure what. It is indeeds Ticcy, it's all right. Not ridden it as such yet, due to gammy arm, but the "car park test" seems all ok. Not overly heavy either. Yeah was looking at Sun rims but shafted on the holing. Guess it's Mavic's just not sure what, XM719Disc? I'd like XM819Discs but i think they're 32h only
  16. Bit of a change from riding full sus bikes for the last 11 years or so! Steel is real Hopefully go 2x10 over the summer, new rims to be ordered soon and change the brakes to something a little lighter weight. Any recommendations on rims would be great, want to keep the hubs but they're 36h so limits me slightly.
  17. Don't forget the other tools you'll need to get the cranks off to get to the bb; 8mm allen key and crank extractor.
  18. Wow those things are wide!
  19. This may be the case, I've tried bikes with both pads and the "genuine" Cousts have always performed better. Hence why I've bought a set of your pads and I've bought a set of Michel's pads. Straight and fair comparison. Regards to the material being stuck to the backings, I know a few riders that have been using these pads for a few years now with no issue's and both of them ride a hell of a lot more than the average rider and at a much higher level. Neither of them have had any problems and both of them swear by the pads.
  20. What bars are you going to run on it? Also depends if you want it set up so "proper" trialsy moves are a bit easier or you want to make streety moves easier?
