    The Angry Thread.

my eno came undone and spewed it's pawls all over kingston
  2. i'ma big fan of the new deore levers; the dearer sets come with cables in box and they're a split clamp design so you don't have to take your grips off to fit em they're cheaper than sd7s too. i've had a set for over a year with no issues.
  3. can move my leg properly now, most of the stitches are out and i'm stunting again. i've finally started tracking my macros too, i'm not altering my diet at all, just logging it for a week or two, then i'm gonna start creeping in the changes

    The Angry Thread.

sorry that my feels brought you down. i'm at work currently
  5. radfest was absolute quality! Some of the funniest shit i've ever seen. i didn't get to ride much but it was so good to see everyone and f**k with ross.
  6. mod is now rolling: mad purple stock doesn't look to bad i pinched someones front wheel to have them matching too
  7. it's the amazon super sale thing this week; i'm a night shift manager in a mail centre so we get all their post directly to us; it's gonna be like christmas all week (in royal mail christmas is not a good thing.) and i've booked most of it off for radfest. GET THE ABSOLUTE f**k IN! I might actually be more pleased about dodging the amazon post than radfest
  8. so i'm re-building my mod and i thought i'd share some of the work and bits going onto it. so the current parts for the mod some of the new bits for it: the new frame: a very rough shot of the stock my favorite bit is the 203mm rotor with no adapters and the very swag hope caliper
  9. i can't imagine it'd end well; even if it's made well enough to take the abuse the geometry and clearances for other parts will be all wrong.
  10. utterly smashing my erg scores, consistently weighing in under 90kg, ogre-sl is back excited for my new 20" and radders!

    The Angry Thread.

recently gone back to their early albums and they are quality. angry because wiggy isn't coming to radfest; he's gonna have a kid next summer so it feels like the end of an era
  12. joined a rowing club in august, it's all paying off now i have high odds of scuttling a tidy rowing girl
  13. on mine the hose run the tube underneath the top tube, have the split 'early' and have long hoses to the slaves so they don't have to have tight lines.
  14. havent had chance to TF much since i've moved onto night shift but i'm loving things; new office is way more supportive and because i'm on nights its way easier to avoid the beer and get in control of my diet and training; i'm getting nice and lean again, i hope to be back down to 90kg before july. i'm enjoying 26 and managing some of the lines that i'd put on my to do list when i moved down to kingston. generally quite happy with my ability to stunt; putting the work in on sidehops and i'm getting them over bar height to both sides on good days. i've had my djc tinder phase and i've met someone who i'd rather not kick out the next day, it's early days but i'm pretty optimistic. my ex is still being as lame as when i left her so i'm pleased for myself that i made the right call on that, we're still civil before that sounds like a horrific dis.
  15. your not alone! theres a few of us! theres a trials group on the facebook; if you wanna add me LINK then i'll get you on the trials group and we can organise some fancy central stunts!
  16. #devilsadvocate I watched danny kearns loving modern SL bikes today, the high bb confused his lovely northern ethics but he'll be knee deep in carbon and SL parts faster than you can say overdraft limit
  17. the half of my palm opposite to my thumb is pretty much just callous/leathery skin, got some wierd callous on the webbing between my thumb and index too. does anyone else get the three calouses under each finger on the palm? like an extra two underneath the normal one? or am i a full blown ogre now...
  18. i believe it's the 'normal' premium one; it doesn't have extra projekt goodness. it's probably 2-3 years old
  19. these guys are pretty competitive on conti's; just shy of £40 for an absurdly high performance tyre that should last you a couple of seasons isn't bad at all. i'm using a der-baron and i'm astounded by how well it grips and resists punctures. you want the techy exensive ones. i'm with ross on this; makes no sense to skimp on tyres.

    cost of carbon

i know carbon doesn't have much of a hold in trials but as bike folk it's always cool to see; i've stolen this from pink bike but here is a carbon frame and every piece of carbon that is put together to make it. compared to 8+ tubes and some lugs this is mental
  21. alloy bars are preferable for when you crash; the consensus is your fine adding weight anywhere but the wheels and drivetrain. shits about to his the fan really hard, loads of new articles on this. cycling's image is pretty good, i hope this doesn't wreck it
  22. i've just put it on like tar and it's seemed to improve bite for a while, does no one else find that putting stuff on your rim tends to affect the hold?
  23. evening tf; I have some trialtech disc forks with +20 IS disc tabs, I run a hope tech caliper (post mount jobby), I currently have a 203mm rotor all up in that front end. which IS-PM caliper do I need to have no washers or bodge-jobbery on my front end please? further more I have this lever and today the 'M3*6MM' bolt decided to vacate the lever. I'm confident this is the one that I want to replace it with. besides bolting it back in are there any other small parts I should be checking aren't missing? i'm not familiar with these levers so it'd be handy not missing something. and should I need to re-bleed the brake?
  24. no worries dear, 180 should be plenty; the frame is +20 so it's designed for a reasonably big rotor. the standard pads should actually be alright for you; the trialtech or jitsie pads will give you more bite and power but they'll wash out if you hit them with alot of speed. do you need a rotor too? i might be able to find you one
  25. i'm a big fan of bb7s, throughly rate these levers with them too. bb5s are also perfectly fine. the calipers are both tough enough for a thorough loving too, i managed to snap the adapter for the bb7 the other day but it cracked around the bolts and held together long enough for me to realise and stop. can't fault it for nearly a year under my fat ass
