    Cams

Make sure the axle is not butted up against axle washer when tightened(had to file a few axles down due to frame dropouts worn slightly) and echo steel notched cams worked for me at least on on drive side and smooth on other for better tuning of wheel centre
  6. yea old ones, i did get one set of pads to work ok on the front, so moved pads to rear and seem to be ok and now front is crap so must be pads but both are still not locking up as good as bb7 weird and no hold ps prob dosent help i came from tnn begreens tnn clamps and racelines so on/off
  7. Have been running maggies for years and new to disc What are you recommendations to pads, rotors, mounts I had bb7 set and were good bite, hold a little weak on rear so bought the 810s and cant get them to work, brand new standard shimano pads and old avid rotors, just no hold or bite, tried sanding, water bed down large hill , cleaner
  8. Loved my base, think if i remember the boss was a standard v brake
  9. Best vid i seen in a while good mix of styles and vid gave good impression of what is was like, funny to hear maggies on a street ride now

  11. I have had loads of snail cams and crushed a lot of them seem to move wheel too especially drive side, i ended up notched drive side smooth on other for better adjustment , the only ones i got on with was echo tr steel ones with micro notches even then it dug in over time then that was on tryall H hubs and rockaman frame. If a new chain got fitted or loosened chain it would fall into old groove again and bugger up chain tension. Now i have 2 24 bikes street and trials both intergrated system no wheel movement and solid and even better adjustment especially for maggy brakes
  12. Well i find light stretching, cycle about for while until heart rate is up and muscles warmed up before i start doing proper trials moves. Get home foam roller myself out any tight spots and recently been having a protein shake when i get in, no more sore muscles and go out on bike on regular basis 32 years old and just fought off cancer over winter time so my body is proper frail and in need of tlc but i miss my bikes too much
  13. Flipping great was smiling all the way through, loved it
  14. New racingline brakes, Tnn clamps and booster and tnn beegreens
  15. Alex White hand of salmond is it for his own benefit just like maggie thatcher did years ago, really messed us up boot Small fish big pond springs to mind not enough to self sustain and actually make money to get out of debt, would be nice to be independent but not now got to think a few generations ahead
  16. My favorite street rider the now, supose it takes me back to when "trials" bikes had seats and rode trials in this style The vid was awsome cant wait for more
  17. Bow rosin is meant to be good, sure I saw j9 using it in one of her vids
  18. Ah forgot about that done that on my 2 finger lever years ago before the four came out , means a re bleed though to allow the piston to travel the extra space, have not had to bleed mine in years engine coolant win win
  19. My problem is I would like the bite point to be at were the lever sits at rest, i always feel like the end of the lever hits my middle finger at full lock and index finger is stronger stretched further out The only set up i can get close to this is set pads with min clearance and set tpa in till it rubs, then this means my rim has to be super true and wheel flex around corners is annoying cause it too rubs My brake set up is 2005 maggie, four finger lever, tnn clamps booster and pads so cant really go wrong
  20. Yea i agree with ross, been playing with brake lever angles myself last few weeks Found if levers are down like yours good modulation but lack power finger not in a strong position I seen gilles and jack run there brake almost level to ground so tried it Lever pointing to just higher than front wheel great power but i have lack of modulation either on/off feel I used to run mine like yours found the rim needed ground more so change angle, hey presto fixed simples As for riding awesome and nice locations my kinda of riding
  21. Easy 1 File broken bit flat and smooth 2 Center punch/dab bang in middle 3 Drill pilot hole with a small as you can drill and dont brake the drill, just drill light and slow 4 Use next size drill and keep it straight so almost size of broken bolt, so little of bolt left 5 If theres little left, some times if can be picked away or unscrewed 6 If a lot of the bolt remains and holds together DO NOT USE any easy out as above if they break you cant drill them and stuck with it in trust me been there 7 Get and old bolt slightly bigger than drilled hole and buff/grind a square tapper on end and chap into hole and unscrew the broken part 8 If threads are damaged helicoil repair kit needed Have done this many times with different kinds of bolts ie exhaust hardened steel bolts baked in hole and sheared/eroded off or bolts in aluminium have sheared and seized You can weld a nut to it and fill hole in nut but is kinda small for that or bolt idea
  22. To get off cheap deodorant dosent evaporate too quickly To put on electrical contact cleaner leaves no residue and drys in seconds, use it on any type of grip, also get grips off easy cause there not glued on for futer replacement using this method
  23. Norm routine for me warm up little stretching then out for a few hours When i get home ive got a foam roller, got it for sore back from work but really works, a good stretch and roll yourself out kinda like a self massage, hot bath Also compression clothing helps a bit too Once you get fitter its less maintanence Ive only started doing this last couple of years getting older but i can move freely for work next day
  24. I find the echo cages to shallow and my foot is also resting on the axel more than cage so not as grippy, the try all have a bigger higher cage so shoe bites to cage better and the teeth are sharper than echo
