  1. It was cool and I am a JJ fan like but the amount of Facebook (to quote you) spam I had expected to see more new stuff. I can handle the old stuff but I'd just go through your channel to watch it. All of these videos just make me think of the Portsmouth ride last year and getting pretty excited for it to come around again.
  2. (That quotes been stuck on my phone for so long now so using it to see if it will finally go, sorry!) My above post was meant as a joke but is also pretty factual. It wasn't as good as Rosses comeback.
  3. It wouldn't be a wasted trip in that case, you can also hit up Shipley Glen or Harden Moor both very close to here.
  4. Leo just seems to have the right mindset and the guts to try things that others just wouldn't with his added style bonus of how he does some things differently. One of my favorite riders of the moment. I enjoy seeing videos like this and his bikevision video than the Facebook clips and so on posted up by Hope and stuff. Edit: now we need a video from Leo NNeill
  5. Pretty excited to see it built up and watch you scratch those cranks. Quite a bit of thought and orange has gone into this one so hope that pays off.
  6. Hey Josh it's worth asking if you are talking about a push bike or motorbike as this is the cycle trials forum. I live in the village and locals do go up and if one of the farmers in the tractors call past and see us on the push bikes providing its only one or two they seem to just drive past.
  7. I can't work out if I like the forks or not, if it was mine I would have chosen black. Jeff you photo made my eyes bleed. The rest is looking really cool apart from your seat post/clamp seems to draw unnecessary attention to itself.

+1 on this it doesn't have to be Manchester idea. I'd quite like to try some new places nearby though well open to suggestion. Members organized rides section is going to be feeling some self worth!

I made it yeah, it was pretty miserable to start mainly with the spots id say 80% of being timber or pretty smooth polished surface having a wet coating that just didn't really dry. We managed to find a couple of places in the end that got the ride going and then the last spot probably got about a hour and a half of us really making the most of it being a dry spot. I don't have any code for don't turn up I did have a pretty shocking end to my working week but that's resolved with bikes. Really cool to meet Rich today.
  11. On a serious note I found that you can file the drop outs no problem to fit your chain but also drill and tap for a bolt so you can run a snail cam on the driver side to tension the chain that way, takes about 20mins of your time to mod the frame to work without and it far better in my eyes. Plus you're gaining a shorter chainstay length so its win win.

Yeah I'm cool for tomorrow now and will meet you guys there around 12
  14. That's pretty cool, what length does that work out as?
  15. That riding is insane as always and the styles so perfect. Great video, so much motivation
  16. I think the general rule of thumb is: 22-15 if you're brakeless 22-16 if you ride with brakes I ride 18-13 which is pretty much the same just not got a super massive bashring to get in the way of my BIU style of riding.

No worried pm me your numbers or Facebook and I'll let you both know. I'm free this Saturday if you both fancy Manchester? You both drive? I'll let you know where I'll be parking.

You'll find most of the riding first ride out on the Quays near the Imperial war museum right next to the ITV building. I find when we ride on that side of the river on any of the small walls or the lead painted stuff there (you'll soon find that) we never get thrown off. The opposite side of the river near the Metro line has loads of fun bits but it's 50/50 if you'll get thrown straight off or not. Manchester is a different story that you sort of need someone taking you around unless you're prepared to have a good search yourself most of the gems are dotted around the estates, the new Uni campus is well worth a check if you're getting back into it loads of nice set-up's. That itself is another 50/50 as they have security randomly walking around but some of the riding is that on the boundary's of the uni you usually get away with it. The very centre just seems hard work now with the amount of road and building work's going on at the moment (N). Edit: Nah Skipton is about a hour away so it's sort of close. You're welcome to pop over if we ride this end but 9/10 I tend to head over to the other citys like Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield or similar. The rides very rarely get posted onto the forum anymore so feel free to send a pm and I'll give you a heads up near the end of the month what rides are on. Seem's like most people are waiting for the weather before being prepared to travel more.

Myself and others are around Manchester some weekends, I live in Skipton but have friends over Bury area and Manchester and Salford are both really fun to ride.
  21. Worth just working out which side had failed and checking the bearing fitment. This happened to a friend of a friend and his frame was warped around where the bearing pushes in (from new) with the rear of the bottom bracket (chain yoke) weld had misshaped it. He alsobelieves with riding that the flex was making the bottom bracket area worse.
  22. If anything buying the Element (being the previous foreplay renamed) he got more for his money in the long run. I'd rather ride a grey bike over a red one. Continental need to make their tyre's stealthy soon I'm glad this bike doesn't have any orange on it. I would be interested in a rough idea of how much over the price of the basic Element build he went.
  23. I'm personally on here for the riding pages, Videos- bike pictures- bike chat. I think up until 2014 I used to check out the new members section sometimes. I usually just log on each day and have a scout and if I see any of the thread's haven't been updated in a day or so I do just go straight back off. Video section just about keeps going and I do try and put some input into those by commenting on them. I sort of do it in some cases just to give that person more comments to make them want to keep posting on the forum. I think that really shows in the video thread with a select few who comment more frequent, then we just look like we have something to say on every video when really it's just because there's so little actually coming out. Deep.
