  1. I dont know where you heard that from but I dont think its true, I run 2011 Hs11's and find them a lot better than my 05 ones I used to use. With a budget of £100 if it comes down to buying a new brake id advise a single 2011 HS11 (as it comes with a 4 finger lever blade, around £60 from tartybikes), a pair of TNN LGM pads (£30) and give your rim a grind if you havent already. Also if you havent already got one keep an eye out for a 2 or 4 bolt brake booster on here as that should help the brake as well! And going off your original post maguras and v brakes are 2 completely different things, maguras are hydraulic rim brakes and v's are cable operated but can be just as powerful.
  2. I'd definately say lose a few pallets and practice getting up to rear then build up from there. The bash should be thought of as more of a safe guard than a tool for climbing, it's not like the old days where going straight to bash was the norm!
  3. You wanna either cut a deep slot in to fit a big flat screw driver or try and get the bolt with the mole grips and unscrew it
  4. Have you got access to a vice you can clamp it in, or some molegrips??
  5. What have you tried so far to get it out?
  6. Theres a couple of pythons for sale at the moment, if you want a zoo i'd highly recommend one!
  7. It's cold on the streets of manchester this morning!!

  8. All looks good JD but your gonna look a bit of a gimp riding around with your name on the top tube (said in a newb stylee) You sticking with the orange colour scheme you were running with the ewd Echo? Saw the post about a deal with a client, whats getting re-painted??
  9. I just checked my rear tyre ready for going to manchester tomorrow and according to my digital meter it's 11.5psi. Feels slightly hard for that though so I reckon the gauge may be a bit wrong as I'm pretty sure I'd be able to squash the tyre down to the rim pretty easy if it was! (Der Kaiser)
  10. Yeah sounds like an easier idea than mine, cheers Tom!!
  11. I think mine are quite high as they're pretty hard when I try and push down with my hand (stock with der kaiser) but when I'm riding it'll bottom out occasionally on the edges of walls and things like that. Daren't run it any lower as it just feels too soft and bottoms out when I backhop though would probably help me with static stuff.
  12. Think I'm gonna rid my frame soon. Was a great frame to have as my 1st ever mod build but I fancy something a bit nicer, if I hadn't bought my trialtechs for my Because I'd probably have had that bargain Fans that was for sale recently.
  13. Good enough for me, I'll take that as a no!!
  14. Does that include an 07??
  15. Bang tidy, love a bit of dual rim brakeage!
  16. You naughty boy, I get cursed everytime I try and do my tyres at the petrol station!
  17. Yeah I've had a good search, been looking for the last few days but can't find anything. All of them seem to be either widgets so you can adjust the standard settings from the home screens or programs letting you select whether you want the screen locked or not for individual programs. I was under the assumption, after reading through a lot of android forums, that the programming of android stuff wasn't as high up in the difficulty stakes as standard Java programming hence the original question. Something will turn up sooner or later!
  18. Jobs f****d then. Will have to keep posting the suggestion on Android forums and hope someone picks it up!!
  19. Nope complete newb but I'm pretty good with computers and the like so I'm hoping once I get started I'll pick it up okish!
  20. Aye this is true, think my python is around 11.5kg mark and I don't really struggle much with it.
  21. Yeah I know about that but I'd like to be able to mark a topic as read individually when there has been new posts without going into it. Suppose it doesn't really matter as I can just read the topics I want then go to the main page and mark them all as read.
  22. Does anyone on here have any experience with Android app creating or coding?? I ask because I need either guidance to do it myself or someone else to code an app for my Dell Streak so I can lock the screen orientation. There are already quite a few apps out there that do this but mine is more specific, I want to be able to choose the orientation the screen is locked in as the standard is landscape. I'd like to be able to set the phone to stay in portrait mode which can only be done with the rotation lock off so it always ends up flipping itself around which is a major pain in the arse. Can anyone help get me started??
