  1. The question is did you manage to make it to the top and stay on the rock??
  2. Looking forward to everything coming together. Gonna be interesting to see what kind of posts the new members come up with now they have the freedom, I'm sure there's still gonna be some dodgy questions, illiteration and the like but I reckon it'll be a good change. EDIT: Just had a read of the new members guidelines and theres a small spelling error, you've written communitate, I assume this is an error anyway!! EDIT 2: Thought I'd add this in here as well. On an old IP forum I used to go on you used to be able to click on the speech bubbles at the side of threads to mark them as read individually whereas on here you can only do that from the homepage and mark a whole forum as read, is there any chance of changing it??
  3. Read my post, inside out is a regional program, different for every area!
  4. Right well the bbc south version says something about pompys roads so ive sky+'d south and south east just to be sure! For people looking for it on sky its around channel 981ish depending where you are!! (im also derbyshire!)
  5. What bbc area are you in as inside out is different for each place?!

  8. And good old suspension stems, they were properly gash! All this talk of the olden days makes me wish I'd never snapped my 13" Specialized Rockhopper!
  9. The main things probably the fact the Zoot is built with mainly Onzas own kit whereas the Ashton will be using cheaper wheelbuilds. However the Ashton may be more suitable as a street bike due to the fact is uses a freehub instead of a front freewheel, the ashton is also a few kg's heavier with it running a front disc instead of a V like the Zoot. In terms of geometry they're roundabout the same. If you want a better comparison (as I'm not a streety rider) you'd probably be best ringing tartybikes and talking to Mark, he should be able to answer any questions you have.
  10. The only other bike I can suggest is an Ashton Effect but the spec isn't great. Would be a good enough starter bike though to be improved on, and in your £400 budget http://cgi.ebay.co.u...=item45f832b1b8 There's a lad on here who bought some forks off me recently who rides one, I'll find who he is and you could always PM him for some more info if you wanted. EDIT: Here http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/user/18228-trialsman-dan/
  11. I'm wondering as I've heard people say the 07 standard levers can be used on 06 models yet the 07 carbon fibre lever cannot be, which is what confused me!
  12. Can someone explain to me the difference between the 2 levers and why they require different yet almost identical looking blades? Bored and intrigued .
  13. YES!!! Good old Bike 99, we were all so cool with our bargain tyres over our shoulders. Weren't they something stupid like £25 for a pair??!!
  14. I like, nice to see an Ashton that isn't red! Just don't go round any wet corners on tarmac at any sort of speed with those tyres. Your face will hit the ground!
  15. I agree again with the above, lower the BB a bit (I've got a Because Simple which I think is about +40) and also agree with the stays problem. There must be some way of getting around having to run a halflink to get 18-15. I really like Speedrace frames, was dissapointed they never sold that last one in UCI colours over here. I remember seeing some pictures you posted when I first signed up when it had just been released and really wanted one for my first proper frame! Same as this
  16. Who does your home insurance Rob, I want in!! I did actually ring my insurer up after this thread was originally written and they said the bike was covered for theft as long as it was kept locked in a shed within 100m from my home, all I need to do is keep track of the frame number and preferably some recent pictures of the current build and receipts for all parts fitted. I know for a fact they'd try and knock off as much money as humanly possible but it's good to know I'd get something back, especially as the shed isn't much of a match for a big bad wolf!

    26" Wheels

I'm pretty sure they're 26" but I couldn't comment on how good they'd be for trials. Doesn't really give any info on width or weight, if your using rim brakes they may not be wide enough for the pads to reach and I don't know if the DDG freehub would be suitable for trials in terms of engagements and stuff. Your better off giving them a ring today!
  18. Or http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/onza-zoot-street-trials-24inch-bike-/220746891676?pt=UK_Bikes_GL&hash=item33658a419c
  19. Think he's currently running a freehub, but it's a perfect excuse for going FFW if you ask me!
  20. Yes deffo, remember the days she used to be in FHM quite a bit!
