  1. I'm interested in this, after picking up a modded front tryall stiky off Mark W I wondered if the same kind of thing of cutting some knobbles off is worth doing on the rear of my mod? Really need to find things to do at work, especially as I'm on 12hrs sunday and it will DRAG!!
  2. I find turning to the opposite side of my leading foot is easiest (left foot forward so can turn to my right easily), does anyone have any tips on going the other way or is it purely a practice and get used to the weird feeling kind of thing??
  3. Out of the 2 I'd go High Roller myself
  4. http://www.tartybike...c125p10833.html http://www.cyclesurg...ctID=CFIV0005KW Probably what I'll be picking up next EDIT: Adam beat me to it!

  6. It makes a hell of a difference trust me! I started riding about 12 years ago on a modded mountain bike and moved onto what was at the time a trials specific frame (Heavy Tools Trials) which I rebuilt with modern parts (fixed hub, FFW, etc...) at the start of last year. After a few months of living with my rebuilt bike I got offered a Zona Zenith on here cheap which I couldn't refuse so snapped it up, swapped all my bits over and the difference was unbelievable. Everything felt easier to do, it's hard to explain really but you could really tell the difference even just trackstanding. I won't say people should go out and buy a trials bike if they want to learn trials as it's not true, I learnt it on a regular bike, but I will say that should you buy a bike with trials specific geometry you will notice a difference in how fast you progress.
  7. Oh yes, check it out here before I swapped the bars http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/154187-my-07-python/page__p__2191967__hl__python__fromsearch__1#entry2191967
  8. Completely useless post this but wanted to say how amazing my TNN booster and clamps are. The brake on my mod was dying cause the grind had worn off, stuck this bad boy on and the brake's now stronger than ever, well worth the money easily!
  9. No you won't do it any damage riding with a load of stackers, all down to personal preferance really. However, I used to have 70mm worth of stackers on my python under a trialtech stem and some zoo riser bars but found it much nicer to swap the bars for some higher rise TryAll Rage bars and knock 35mm of stackers off though it's a bit of a trial and error thing, what stem and bar combo have you got on it??
  10. Full build, it's on Tartybikes for sale now for just shy of £1800!
  11. Why not go for the Zoot Pro from rock n roll or is that too much ££
  12. That is nice, makes me wanna throw a load of money at my mod now and swap the frame for something a bit more nimble, some new wheels, etc though that would definately lead to divorce.............if thats a bad thing??
  13. When I picked up my Integra Type R years ago and hitting that Vtech for thr first time on the drive home, amazing feeling. The feeling after having a tattoo that just makes you want more. And again the having a massive dump you've been holding back for hours!!
  14. Not just yours, he's a trials machine! Can't wait to see him when he's Jack Carthy's age, will surely be bringing Trials to the masses, I'm surprised British Cycling hasn't picked up on him yet!
  15. At the time it was the only solution for me as I couldn't use my old rear wheel as I'd swapped to FFW and the rim was knackered, got the clamps machined for nowt anyway so wasn't really much hassle on my part other than actually setting it up. Ended up selling the setup to a lad on here who was pretty pleased with it so it came in handy when I upgraded my frame! Found the pic on my phones browser
  16. Could you not buy some TNN clamps and file down the insides so the booster fits inbetween?
  17. Got the bottom slots on the mounts machined out to take the V bolt (not sure what size they are), trimmed a tiny bit of the rear evo mount off so the clamps would sit into it then used the normal V bolts to tighten the bottom half of the clamp and for the top some bolts going through the booster, through the clamps, through the evo mount holes (where the standard mounts have the pins going through to hold them square) and stuck a nut on the back. Bit fiddly to setup but once it was on it worked a treat and I was using old magura koolstop pads at the time so it shows how effective it was. Not got any pics saved at work but there might be some in my pics thread for the Heavy Tools here http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/147215-my-heavy-tools-trials-rebuild/page__st__40__p__2197557__hl__heavy+tools__fromsearch__1#entry2197557 (Can't see myself as photobucket is blocked at work)
  18. Then I'd look towards trying to pick up a Phase 1.2 frame, can't be that expensive I'd have thought.
  19. This is not true, it can be done with a bit of modification as I had to when I had rebuilt my Heavy Tools last year to fit an Echo TR wheel in. It did actually work pretty well but to be honest unless your dead set on running a magura I'd just go for a decent well set up V on the back.
  20. There's always a loose spot in your chain when you rotate the cranks.
  21. No need to suck in your stomach on all the pics, and I'll quite happily dispute the claims creatine just retains water. I take it every day and have for quite a while and never struggled with water retention, and also I don't reckon you need all those supplements. Maybe if you were on steroids (I know as my cousin and a few local lads are ask over them) they'd be worth it but not at the level your at, especially going off your pictures. I hope I don't offend with my comments it's just how I see it having spent quite a bit of time in the gym, trying various supplements myself and knowing people who've been doing it for years!
  22. All set for a ride tomorrow (1st in weeks) and the weathers given rain, obviously!

  23. I wouldn't mind, would give me something else to do when I'm at work other than
