  1. thought the same thing. wasn't there a german poster who had appr. the same design by marino? family guy or something. but his might have been 20".
  2. i know the decision's not reversible. but if labour would win the election with an ostensive pro-EU position things would still be a bit different. there's always some wiggle room. (but i think i read somewhere a while ago that Corbyn isn't pro-EU either) edit: just read this and point 4 answered my question: http://www.politico.eu/article/8-ways-jeremy-corbyn-is-winning/
  3. since labour is gaining in the polls, just a veeery broad and naive question from a curious outsider: if labour were to win, would there be a chance that they would try to (somehow) reverse the brexit decision?
  4. 350 chainstays? isn't that 20" territory?
  5. how is this in any way a bad thing? you're not getting a wage for doing nothing. as long as the state does not pay for your living, people can enjoy all the experience they want.
  6. ahaha serendipity. out of curiosity i had a quick glance at your instagram and clicked on that squatting video because i wondered what that machine-thingy in front of you was. there picked up 'open up hips' and 'masalana'... that exercise pulls exactly on that one f**king hip muscle that's been bothering me for about a year. thanks man!
  7. ha! like the 2nd a lot more nevertheless. get shwifty
  8. do you ever stop talking about yourself?
  9. not an answer to your question, but this sounds weird to me. the amount of spacers is only determined by steerer tube length (your bar height preference only influences whether you add the stackers on top of the stem or beneath). it should not have anything to do with bolt length. the top of the steerer tube should never be further down than the top screw of the stem. here's a tutorial with pics how it should look like (in this case it's the same with trials bikes): https://m.pinkbike.com/news/Tech-Tuesday-Steerer-tube-length-2012.html
  10. "A pilot study of 666 homeschooled six to 12-year-olds" sorry i can't accept studies which were obviously done by the devil himself!
  11. me too. just finished the 1st season. not that much into it, but it's ok. really liked the titanic episode, because it has that 'community' vibe going. hope it will continue more in that direction. and that they get rid of the annoying burping.
  12. i'm pretty certain they mean color separations, not piecing together a fantasy planet from scraps. they overlay 3 times the same complete image (one each for the red, green and blue spectrum) to get a full color image. that's how additive color mixing works.

love the pull through of the socks-threat! <3
  14. even the f**king romans knew the earth is round.
  15. as long as bars are in front of the bike they are always technically 'forward'. (this was not meant as a jab at anybody. just descriptive. i have my bars pretty much upright as well. all the time i feel (for even to myself inexplicable reasons) like wanting my bars a bit more fowards, but everytime i do that, i lose all riding skills)
  16. thanks a lot for the generous offer. but sorting out postage to austria is way too complicated. i'll get a new angled one, when i've decided which mesurements i want. just curious whether someone has used a steerer with angled cut in a flat stem before. if i can use this for a few weeks without it failing catastrophally.
  17. flipp's advice was to roll the bars back (towards yourself when on bike). many trials riders today roll their bars forwards (often called 'carthy bars'), but flipp, ali c and a few others like their bars more upright. (my guess is, people who do mostly rolling moves like their bars upright, pure trials rider who do more static stuff like them all the way forward) i agree that handlebar rotation changes the bike a lot. i can't sidehop at all with the bars forward.
  18. already binned it. (i had already abused it pretty badly to get the bars in. and even worse now to get them back out) is this a recipe for disaster? my guess is, it should be fine. 45° cut. pretty spot on in the front (3mm below top), slightly under the upper screw in the back.
  19. ruined my rockman stem this morning. overtightened the screw and ripped out the thread. i've been adjusting my bars rotation so damn often, i was kinda waiting for something like this. having to go from 150/30 to 165/35 is going to be annoying...
  20. thanks! in this case it's the weird screws that fix the chainring to the crank on my race bike. just realized that i lost one. just want to fix them as hard as possible. chances are i probably won't want to open them ever again.
  21. maybe. on the other hand i can think of maybe ten times in the past where i have not posted at all because i didn't want to open a new thread. starting a thread can be a pretty threshold to cross sometimes
  22. while part of this is of course true - there usually are no political miracle cures - this is a pretty elitist view. maybe you are in a position where small polictical changes won't affect you much. but there are lots of people out there who are existentially threatened by the actions of shit politicians.
  23. Every now and then i have a small bike related question, but i don't want to start a new thread. thought it might be practical, if we had a thread for those. i'll start with: - can i use contact glue as thread lock? i don't have any loctite around, but i do have a big tin of contact glue (don't mind if it dries slower) [addition-edit: if i use glue, should i use glue only, or grease and glue??] second one: - i also have some ceramics paste. is it a good idea to use it as a lube (mostly for threads) on a bike? it has a weird consistency, less like grease, more like white paint.
  24. Pssst! Mark will make fun of you if you buy a new bike because the tensioner annoys you.
  25. it's pretty easy for him to claim to be 80% right, because he doesn't say anything interesting. he takes a bit of truth and bends to his needs. there will be one or two pedos among the superrich who do shitty things (savile). you (usually) have to do a lot disgusting things to get rich. rothschilds/ rich people will bend every law/ break some to make a profit. plane exhaust trails are not a good thing, because they are pollution. but all of those things are and have always been (unfortunately) part of human behavior. you don't need any kind of conspiracy to explain it. you need serious politicians and honest classic political work to fight those things. but thats too boring for people who want to present themselves as enlightened seers.
