Shimano have stopped making the UN52/53/72 and now they just make a UN54 which is supposed to be the best of both worlds (it's the price of the UN53 but has a hollow axle like the UN72). You can still get UN53s from some places (E.g. CRC), not sure about the UN72. Anyway, just get the UN54.

Niiiiice. I like the matching Chris Bling, I remember you had that on one of your old bikes. Looks sweet as, that. You actually gonna ride it, then?
-
Ooooh, that makes sense. Well there you go, my point is even more valid Modern life is videos are rubbish.
-
I agree. I was watching a video today and thinking it must be pretty old because the guy was actually riding some nice lines and I haven't seen that for a while. It turns out that the video was actually from last week - Cap's MJCycles 2 video - but the point still stands

Is it wrong that I found that piss funny? End of topic? I can't actually bring myself to open up a can of lobster dog though.

QUOTE (danny B @ Mar 26 2008, 11:31 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Just thinkin but do you even know me because you seem to like having digs but i don't think we have ever met so what gives you the right to pass comment???I'm not having a go! Read what I said again. But yes, I've met you at least a couple of times.

You might want to consider why the battery is suddenly flat though. If you've just left an interior light on or whatever, then just jump start it and run it for a bit to charge the battery. Has your alternator gone? Did the battery light come on at all?

Yep, no problems. -
I don't think anyone is saying that though? Obviously when you're doing huge sidehops it's necessary to tuck a bit. I think that's what Danny Kearns and others are failing to see - no one is saying that doing a tuck is a bad thing, as long as you're doing it to get over a wall. If you're doing it because it looks cool, well, you're wrong and stupid. I hate the way trials has become simply about doing the biggest move. It's become like a high jump competition. No one rides lines any more. And the tuckage thread is just a really, really, gay extension of that attitude. That's why it pisses people off, because it makes trials seem even more lame than that (which, let's face it, is pretty lame anyway). I voted whatever. I don't really care. I might just rename it to 'the sidehop thread' which would be infinitely less offensive to me. Yes / No ?

That's not a 12 ft wall. I doubt it's even 9ft.

Vista has lots more processes than XP though. I have 51 processes and my PC (with XP) is fine. With Vista you can have 70 or so with no problems. 84 is a bit excessive but not that unusual. http://widgets.yahoo.com/

Who invented the term TFP?! From what I've seen of them you're completely right. But being friendly and being humble are very different things. The reputation of arrogance (that the Butlers seem to have) obviously comes from somewhere, and it's not hard to see why from reading this topic. Ah well, what would I know? I'm not as skillful on a bike as Danny - perhaps that makes me a TFP?

I would prune this topic and get rid of the arguments. But, if it turns into a mass argument, I'll have no choice but to close it I think this would benefit everyone involved, trials as a sport, and the human race in general.

You're not helping anyone if you reply to a topic that's a year old. If someone wanted a new tyre a year ago, they probably bought one and they don't need you saying "Try-all Sticky". Or bumping a thread from two weeks ago just to say "", like someone needs your approval? Topics don't just get closed when they're old. There are thousands of topics on here, I'm not going to go around closing them all because of some retards with no common sense. Just remember this: You don't HAVE to reply to every topic you see.
-
Sorry to go off topic but I figured you'd read this if I put it here. Stop bumping old topics please. I've just been round deleting loads of your posts in topics from years ago. You've already been warned for spam a week ago, now you're doing the same.

Either that or the 'artistic' rolling around at the start. That was hilarious.

Aw, I was expecting chain snaps + teeth ruination. Oh well. That happens when you concentrate too much on lowering the front end and getting your weight low, and forget about actually soaking the drop up

It moves about though. I remember ages ago there were loads of riders in Lancaster who would be out every weekend. And then some moved away from Lancaster but there was another little pocket of riders (E.g. in Manchester). Now some of the Manchester people have moved away to uni or stopped riding. People move about - trials in the UK hasn't stopped just because your little riding group is no more.

Nice choice of colour

Was probably Ben Travis in his Hummer H2, all paid for by Deng, of course.

Yep, ad popups will be from Spyware and AVG probably won't pick them up. Spybot S&D will though, definitely do this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plural_of_virus

Which I then had (and snapped ). The HS Mk1 was basically Ashton geometry I think. No point fixing something that isn't broke (The Ashton had cool geometry) and since the Ashton was no longer around, Heatsink filled the gap. The Zoot has pretty similar geometry to my Leeson 24 I had 3 years ago. So they all copied me P.S. Stop whining about Zoots!

Yeah, I opened this topic and thought "whoa - pinstripe 24uk?!" Ah well. Looks ace either way.

You find a Les Paul comfortable?! I've got a Strat but I have always secretly wanted a Les Paul. But I played one the other day and it was really uncomfortable. It's at least twice the weight of my strat, and the top edge is really sharp and digs into your ribs. Awesome sound though. It might be worth trying to find something second hand. Either an Epiphone les paul standard (The rrp is £270 ish) or a Mexican Strat if that's what you're into (rrp £350 ish). Epiphone make cheap, and super cheap guitars. The one you linked to is the latter and not great (although perfectly adequate to learn on). But the more expensive ones are almost indistinguishable from the Gibson ones. P.S. Also if you're interested in Strats, then the Squier ones are OK. You can get starter packs for £150 ish with guitar + lead + amp which will certainly get you started. The only thing I will say is that decent guitars hold their value really well. If you bought a second hand Gibson Les Paul today, you could sell it in 5 years for the same amount.

I have tried it before. Never got it fully set up, there is ALWAYS some problem that prevents it. I last tried Ubuntu 7.1 and my network just refused to work, so I gave up. I would quite like to give it another try and I even have a spare hard drive I could install it on. The thing is, I use my PC for internet browsing and Photoshop. Since you can't get Photoshop on Linux (I don't think), I would have to dual-boot and then there would be no reason to actually use linux. And don't say use the GIMP, it's nowhere near the standard of Photoshop and it's slow.
