The "i'm About To Leave Home For Uni In A Strange City"
Krisboats replied to ScotchDave's topic in Chit Chat
You might as well, theres loads of riders around/near nottingham and their always having rides there. I myself am going to loughborough uni, which is the same place i'll have been living at all my life so its other riders coming to me i guess -

I'm currently downloading video 4, thought i'd have a look at vid 2 as well to comment on progression/technique/stuff. I'll edit when done. EDIT: Well your riding has certainly improved since video 2, you look a lot more controlled and less rigid on the bike, which is good as your own individual style will show itself now that you seem more relaxed. It was better than a lot of sidehop happy videos that are released nowadays and you riding preferences seem very similar to my own, probably another reason why i liked it . There was a lot less clip repitition in this one compared to video 2 which is always good, but i dont think there was a need to slo-mo the rolling gap down after we'd seen a bail of it and you making it in normal speed already. For a bit more variation and a slightly longer video 5 try sidehops, static ups, front gaps, and try some spins or other not big but fun moves, like crankflips and x-ups. I reckon you could have another foot on your static gapping if you kept trying them for a couple of weeks. Maybe some music for vid 5 too, musicless videos only really work if your silky smooth with everything or if you mute you landings on the clips. All-in-all it was a decent video... bring on vid 5!

Front disc all the way. It just feels much nicer, is far stronger than my magura ever was and it lets me do rolling nose endo very easily. The pads are also a lot cheaper too, especially now someones selling brand new original avid pads on ebay, my set cost me £4.53

I'm not gonna have one and i cant see many of us bothering either. Just say its an extreme sport and when you fell the bell got broken so you threw it away... good enough excuse. Works with lights too Just sound really apologetic if they ask you and tell them you'll get it sorted as soon as its humanly possible to do so. Of course, your not actually going to bother.

They do look nice especiialy in the blue one. And from what i can tell it looks to be taller than my echo control 4 bolt booster so offering a greater tyre clearance. But can you tell me how these boosters are finished better than others?

Have you tried taking the bb out, cleaning all the threads off completely in the bb shell and on the actual bb cups then whacking a load of grease on and re-fitting it? Also really grease the crank arm/bb axle joining area.

Didnt like it at all, it was too short and there was only 2-3 clips of him actually making something. The rail gap would have been alright... but he didnt manage it so its not that great at all. And those trousers... i dont get how people can ride in trousers like that, i myself find them really, really restricting
-
Thats a heffer of a tap, well done! Looks like you guys had a very good day i wish i had somewhere as nice looking as that to ride
-
Since when are rails technical? What you trying, hopping round 180 on them?

Abit Of Fun For The People Online Tonight!
Krisboats replied to lil_kial's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
I smacked the computer because i'm sexy and do what i want..... too true -
No, to ben geary his enjoyment is going big... he sucks at riding tech things so finds it easier to go massive... and he seems to do it quite well too, until he breaks something on his bike and cant ride for a week or two Meh, it wasnt that bad. Try tapping a smaller wall, over shooting with the back wheel and doing half a backflip and landing straight down on your head.... now that hurts lol, split my helmet good and proper that bail did :$

The actual song mp3 or a dvdrip of the section of dvd?
-
Yes i have the video, the song is by vanilla pod... called surrounded by idiots.

Right okay, firstly... i pointed out that it has a mech hanger fitment as well. So the people who want a verticle style mech can have one, and the rest of the world can use horizontal dropouts. I reckon thats the best way of having a rear dropout system for the sheer functionality of it. My hope skewer has about 4mm of skewer sticking out with my 10mm drop outs so i'd imagine it'd fit alright. And i didnt say the paint weighs 200grams, i said thats the apparant difference between them, 200 grams on paint is just silly. Dude, by yourself a dictionary, least i can spell adjustable. I was pointing out the fact that the 4 bolts will be exactly the same as mod bikes for adjustability, as their welded down too. Supports 160mm doesnt mean you can't have others does it? So i guess you don't know fully what your on about, same as i didnt know about the double butted welding stuff.
-
How can you say its wank? have you ridden it? maybe it rides like a dream. Theres a lot of horizontal dropout lovers, especially street riders. So why arent they needed? Theres a mech hanger there too so whats the problem? Does the magura mount look adjustable? No, i thought not.. its welded down for christs sake, how you gonna adjust that? It says 14mm THICK dopouts, not 14mm axle width. so of course a normal QR skewer would work. The heavy version is powder coated and the light one is anodised, like most of the other things you've asked its actually mentioned in the original post. And where does it say it doesnt support a 8" disc? with the size of that dropout i'd imagine it could more than capably handle an 8" rotor. If it sounds harsh its because i'm in an irritable mood and you asked a load of questions that you could have answered yourself if you'd actually had some common sense and read the information about it properly.

Guide you followed hey, not the bodge i did for you

You're seriously having a laugh arent you, this dude is from another country and he can type better than you.
-
Could be your firewall? My norton firewall doesnt let me do windows updates, so i turn it off and leave just the windows one active while i update, then turn norton back on after. Can't hurt to try.

Paul was completely sound when i sold him my bmx frame, he even payed the paypal fee's for me, you'll have no problems with him at all as he's one of the few decent people i know.

Cut the seatpost down a bit, take the bashplate off and get a stronger chain like a kmc kool. Ither than that it looks alright.
