Depending on alloys, and the exact specificaltion of the material, Ti is a similar strength (in terms of tensile strength) to steel, but at a lighter wieght. high grade steel if often a fair bit strogner than a Ti alloy, but obviously heavier. Unless your trying to reduce weight, dont bother, the freehub body will still indent.

if you can wait a little bit (not long at all now really) the newest hopes are post mounted, although not very tried and tested yet.

looks very much like it to me! anyway, yeah if the stud have sheared, thats a bit of a problem. Easiest fix would be manifold from scrappy, and new downpipe (if its needed), maybe new studs too. However getting the exaust manifold off isnt too simple, I know its a pain on my golf (much easier if you take the whole head off, then the manifold lol). Quickfit may refuse to do it simply because they dont have the tools/expertise, or its not the kind of thing they do, as tehre name suggests, there quick fitters, not full on repair/service garages.

Thats some good CCTV footage, nice quality and colour. Good for police and Insurance company (if its insured). Basically, you NEED at least a D lock. cable locks, no matter how thick, can be cut easily with bolt cutters. same with small chain locks. I keep my trials bike in nicks house, and only ever take it out if im riding it. My get around bike that i actually use, is worth about £20 and i still lock it in halls bike sheds with at least two locks, one being a £120 motorbike chain, 12mm links.

Things are going a little off topic here! hey ho. Glad your alright and all, car doesnt look to happy but isnt unfixable. I would personally try to fix it myself, it depends how good you are at spannering really. It should be doable to the safe and driveable stage for £500, but maybe more to get it looking quite the same again. If you go through insurance, you loose no claims, have the excess, and your premium will be considerably higher for a while. Getting it fixed by a garage would be expensive, and worth going through insurance for. Otherwise, check out the bay, forums and local scrappies and get as many front end bits as you can. I would say for now, to get you on the road, don't worry about trying to find an abarth bumper, stick to standard- not hard to change at a later date. the parts that have been mentioned seem about right, hard to tell what else might be needed without under bonnet shots. If you can find the right colour parts, thats a bonus as getting it painted will be expensive, and looks shit if you do it with spray cans (unless you know what your doing and have a lot of time). You can always drive around with a multicoloured car for a while until you find other bits/get the money for paint. At least youl have a car.

fcuk me that was a good post rowly! Im just going to sit and think for a while...

I agree with that, mainly because i am still a bit insecure at times, and unconfident- a small dose of alchol can really benifit me in social situations with new people. I know alchol is bad for me, which is why i drink occasionally, and in moderation, but i still do it for this reason! It makes me feel more confortable in normally uncomfortabel social situations, is that really such a bad thing? At least i don't get drunk for the sake of it like some people i know, or think its only a good night if you cant remember it- wheres the fcuking point in that? I do agree here, but atm i am forced to use perscription drugs to control my epilepsy, and i would much ratehr swallow 4 little blocks of chemicals a day to what would happen if i didn't, however, if it was researched and found that canabis could be used to do the same thing, i would choose the green stuff everytime over the man made tablets, at least THC is natural, even though it may not be a natural thing to put it in my body.

nick wont like mine when it arrives, mainly due to the geo, but i think they are nice frames, and i prefer old geo to the new(er) long and low brigade- i just can't ride those AT ALL (dont even think about saying i cant ride anyway nick ) They are strong, mid to heavy, but not overly so, and have great customer service behind them.

I understand what your getting at here, but if someone really really wants something, they will get hold of it anyway, regardless of how hard it is. I also don't condone drugs at all, i disagree with people using them, but i respect there right to. its there choice. The only thing i do not agree with is smoking in public, as it affects others, so i agree with the smoking ban for that reason. People can do what they like in thier own home. Yes, it would be easier for young people to get hold of these drugs. "I am not however saying legalise drugs and keep everything else the same." the education about drugs needs to be better, start earlier and more frequent, and it should be taught better! not just DO not do this Do not do that, IT WILL KIlL YOU, they should really educate, tell you what the drugs do in terms of the high, and the sideaffects, show you haw to use them safely if you were ever to use them, and then use real ex users to talk to the kids. Parents also need to be a bit more parenty towards there children, and educate them also. I think that with that, and the fact that it would no longer be a taboo thing (lets do this because we shouldnt) less people would be inclined to start. A system should also be in place to help people control there useage, to stop it getting out of control. I agree that it would be a big thing to do, and there probably isnt a lot of support for it, but if done properly i believe it would turn things around. Remember, this is my opinion, not scientific fact! I highly doubt it would happen, as this country is so uptight anyway.

I do like a nice debate, and it’s good to see a proper one on TF for a change- not people slagging each other off. Now, I personally don’t smoke (tobacco or weed) never have, and don’t plan to. I drink occasionally in a social way, pretty much in moderation (although I believe I have still technically “binged” before, as the amount you need to binge is so low), and have no desire at all to try other drugs AT ALL. I, like some others have said, try to avoid taking medication for illness/headaches if its not definitely needed. I do however take one prescription drug daily, but that is to control my epilepsy, kind of have to take that really! Our society is very strange in how it responds to drugs, drugs have been around for a long time, and as such have formed part of our society and culture. If you look at native cultures, like tribes they often use drugs made form plants in the jungle in there religion/ritual, so its nothing new. What is new is the control of drugs, we are already in a big brother society, increasingly limited freedoms in everyway. Drugs are illegal, supposedly for our own good, yet we still have stoners, and drug dealers everywhere, it’s a waste of police time and government money if nothing else. I believe ALL drugs should be made FULLY legal, over the counter. Weed at newsagents, harder stuff at pharmacies. The supply of the drugs can be controlled – no risk of varying dosages, dodgy stuff mixed in with it, so much safer. This leads to less chance of overdosing. Advice can also be given at the point of sale. The price of the drugs can be controlled, which is useful. Tax revenue can be generated, which should be used on helping addicts, and properly educating our children! And can be put towards the NHS. There is much less wasting police time trying to catch dealers, as if the drugs are price controlled, the price can be dropped to take the dealers out of the market. If the over the counter quality is high, people wont bother with dealers either. If you think this is a bad idea, look at other countries! We have the highest drug problems and for that matter child pregnancies in Europe pretty much- why? Because we try and be too controlling. We need to be more open, give people better information and allow them to make there own choices. A lot of people take drugs young/ get pregnant cause they think there doing something cool and it’s a thrill to do something when your not meant to, get rid of that aspect and there less likely to do it. The most dangerous drug in our society right now is the one which is most legal- alcohol! Binge drinking, drunken fights, again we are one of the worst countries for this! The NHS is struggling from alcohol related diseases and health problems- not lust long term patients with liver problems, but A&E on Friday and Saturday night, over 50% of people there will be there due to alcohol whether it be drinking too much and getting paralytic, or just being hit over the head by some drunken twat. This whole country needs to take a good dose of THC and chill out, stop being so uptight about the whole situation! With cannabis in particular, it does have benefits as well as the negatives. When smoked (assuming a pure joint) you will be breathing in much less shit than you do if you smoke a cigarette. Cigarettes have so much tar and rubbish in them, and clog up your lungs a lot more than a joint will. Medically, it has been proved that THC, whether it be smoked, or eaten or whatever, can seriously help various mental conditions such as multiple sclerosis. Conditions like this have NO ALTERNATIVE TREATMENT and are really debilitating. If weed stops the symptoms with no side affects, why the hell is it illegal for that? I admit, in certain people too much weed has negative affects and can trigger disorders and depression. I personally think this only happens in people who have a family history of such things, etc. (excluding depression) and does not create them, just triggers something that was there. This is actually the one reason I haven’t tired it, due to my epilepsy- I don’t want to risk it. I have wanted to try it (not necessarily use it regularly, but a once off thing). As a side note- I have just read on one of the websites I’ve been looking at about the medical aspects, that it has been seen in animals to have a positive effect, and is a possible treatment for epilepsy, which again can only be a good thing. I do not doubt more research needs to be done, as THC does definitely affect the brain in a BIG way, and right now it’s a lucky dip whether it will end good or bad for you individually.

No doubt nick or bigman will be in here soon enough to once again post pics of me in porthcawl!

Gone lazy with the body work! 80 grit the rust spots down to bare metal, followed by a wipe over with clean cloth then a splodge of black hamerite! Looks shit, but stops the rust and is quick and easy. Will concentrate on making it look pretty after winter.

Very interesting indeed! New mini lever looks a little dissapoinitng though, very similar to the old one, i wonder how differently it performs.

Woooo! fixed my dodgy idle problem now! replaced a hose on the vacuum line (was cracked) and remounted the carb (base plate loose). Should be all gravy in the go go department now, especially since ive got around to putting the heating element on. Should help with carb icing. Gonna try and get cracking on the body work tomorrow, want to derust, debadge and prime. Will mattblack the car at some point, if i get the courage.

Sorry, i don't understand that comment at all! I was just tying to help by confirming CPW supply insurance, under that name, and at roughly that cost. I agree it would be worth looking into, but its not as much of a scam as a lot of things!

After buying a mid spec "do everything" laptop to go to uni last year, and then 6 months down the line buy a desktop because my laptop couldnt hack it, give the advise that if your getting a lappy, make it a nice portable one, and save up for a desktop for you games ect. Lieghtweight and battery life are key- especially the batt life if you want to actually use it properly, my poor battery life makes my laptop pretty much useless. I saw one in our uni computer shop the other day which i loved, and sounds perfect for you- i will try and find a link. Its got a 12" widescreen, but runs at a high res (stuffs quite small on the screen), 80gb hdd, wireless stuff, 1.8 (i think) processor, and 1gb ram, and only £800. Edit: link. http://www.averatec.com/notebooks/2200series.htm

Is there a chance of any piccys? or is that not allowed? By your post, you seem to be saying there are two new levers, is this correct? if so which is the one i have shown, and what are the differences between them and compared to the old mini lever? The mini moto appears to be in stock, but the others don't.
