That sucks so bad No GPS tracker?

Never though spiders could be this funny. Also the video quality in 1080p is nuts. I've seen such spiders and they're absolutely tiny which makes these shots even more amazing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLosEnZ-ms0

What would be interesting is to have this test done by downhill and bmx riders. I've always found that bike trials attracts a specific type of personality, can't put my finger on what it is exactly.

Car has a new bumper Statistically speaking, it'll be shattered to bits 5 days from now resulting in time penalties which could cost me points. Most new bumpers I've installed on that car last season were history after about 20 kilometers. Annoyingly, the one I mended out of 8 separate bits for fun is still going strong but I'm slowly getting fed up with pictures like this one in the media http://www.newsauto.pl/rusza-cykl-ab-cup-federal-bmw-challenge/

Got a cold or something similar which doesn't want to let go. 5 days and counting.

What's that on the ground in front of the car? Someone playing music into the radiator?
-
It's an Evo so guessing the car had about 200bhp tops Definitely wouldn't outperform a 328. Thanks man Bing yes, 4 new solenoids, seals replaced from literally rock solid to nice and soft, new pressure regulator, pump disc, diodes, cables and pistons So everything that was wrong with the previous unit

Great! Nicely controlled, good clipping points. I miss drifting a bit, it's so much fun. Love the feeling of constant acceleration you get in this sport because rather than being pulled to the side in corners, you're being pushed into your seat all the time. Also definitely a gateway to "proper" motorsport, nothing teaches car control better than drifting. Came in here to post a picture of this sucker nobody is interested in. Got it rebuilt, should be worth about 120 extra ponies. Custom carbon-kevlar clutch and solid lightweight flywheel ordered, only 3 days to go before the comp. Got to love doing things at the very last moment. Not worried because we always make it in time but it kind of makes me wonder when my luck will run out...

That's something a hipster would say, right? I can handle eating the same dish as someone else. Are the meals included in the price crappy or something, or is there just no choice and everyone gets the same dish? That'd be a bit daft. I've visited quite a few hotels locally and always enjoyed the meals, can't say they were something to die for though. Oh and by the way here you go Dan. Alps are a great idea actually. I once considered doing a roadtrip into the Alps with my dad in his MG A, visit the best driving roads, mountain passes and just take in the beauty of the surroundings in an open car which is a massive joy to drive even slowly. Need to consider doing that finally, I have sooo much inertia when it comes to doing anything that requires planning...

Thanks guys, great advice so far. Sounds like I'm panicking too much but that's often the case when you want to do something right with no past experience. Part of the reason why I haven't been on holiday for so long is that I don't believe you can have a decent holiday for £300-£400 per person. It just sounds weird. This is what I'd spend going on a holiday in my car locally, can't imagine how the flight, a hotel and meals can be just as cheap. I've heard all inclusive is a must and frankly speaking I wouldn't have it any other way. Would you say Simpson that activities on holidays are reasonably priced or do they overcharge just because they know they can? I know this is rather a general question. So from what Simps wrote, it sounds like the travel agency can easily arrange one or two full day outings during the stay or would this be something organised by the hotel on the spot? Dolphins sound like an ace experience, you see this is why I asked what you can do on holiday Would never have occurred to me but sounds like so much fun. So far we've only looked on the internet and through catalogues but it seems like visiting a travel agency is a must to get the most out of a trip.

Very odd. I'd say the rim is contaminated or the pads are dirty.Try re-grinding the rim, then rub it lightly with P240 paper or a wire brush, also rub the pads down ever so slightly using ~P400 paper. Make sure that the master cylinder isn't bottoming out although by the sound of things it isn't. I very recently went over from LGM's to ADM's and the brake performed poorly at first too but it has since become very powerful. Before this happened though I did end up grinding the rim again despite already having a fresh grind and did some work on the pad surface. And the prize for most useless post goes to....

Well, at least not on a proper one. Me and my gf want to go somewhere. I haven't been on a holiday for 18 years so not really sure what holidays are like nowadays hence some general questions which some might find retarded or really obvious. We can only go for 7 days due to my work obligations. What worries me a lot is that I'll get incredibly bored very quickly. I'd obviously like to spend 2 days on the beach to relax and get completely hammered but the remaining days I'd like to do something fun. The last thing I want is to arrive at the hotel and then try to work out what there is to do. I want my activities planned and especially paid for way before setting off. My biggest problem is - what does one do on holidays? The only thing I can think of is scuba diving. What else does one usually do during a holiday? Can you guys recommend anything? We're currently looking at Europe and the north African coast. We're both rather excited about the Maldives but decided that for a first holiday it's probably worth going somewhere more affordable to get a grasp on what holidaying is all about.

Just a random guess. You've got a lot of flow and seem to excel at rolling moves. Usually trials riders are the opposite unfortunately
-
Great riding, really nice style. Your sidehops seem to be rather disproportionate to the remaining moves though, unusual. Are you a BMX rider?

This is some seriously epic car control: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10152458589664973&set=vb.68262729972&type=2&theater Adam, thanks for the details on the series and the tyres too. I've forwarded that part of your post to the BMW Challenge group if you don't mind. Some drivers were asking about the Nankangs but nobody here knows anything about them, there was also a lot of arguing last year regarding differences between various 595 batches. So you not only confirmed what many people thought but also gave a good idea of what the Nankangs might be like compared to Federals. I recall having very good 595's once and then getting a new set which was tragic. Everyone thought I was just driving quicker hence losing grip on every corner but I strongly believed the tyres were rubbish.

Pretty decent riding. Although the highlight of this video to me was the riding spot, endless possibilities!
-
Not sure if serious but yeah, I always associated that sound with maximum braking performance.
-
Are there any limitations when it comes to mods? Watching that video I get the impression you could greatly benefit from a shorter final drive, then again it sounds like the cars you're competing against have the same ratio so guessing it's not allowed to be changed. Very relaxed driving style by the way although you do seem to be getting more aggressive towards the end. Any chance of getting a GPS logger so one can see the speed and roughly what the g-forces are? What tyres are you running?

Had yet another fantastic ride. The first hour before it started to get dark reminded me of the good old days, riding new spots with the same buddies as 10 years ago and just fooling around. Managed to do a few moves consecutively I couldn't do at all in the past. Sidehops are improving, gaps to front are better than ever. Built an obstacle for hooks in my trials park. Don't want to snap the Karbon but it's so tempting to finally learn these properly. Can't wait to ride again
-
That's some good riding there Nick

Hub moves with the disc - do you mean rotates or moves in the dropouts? If it's the latter, get the bike upside down and check whether the funbolts aren't resting against the axle when tightened. Can happen with some hub/fork combos. Usually it's a problem with the forks having way too thin dropouts. I don't think this will apply to your setup but it's worth a check.
-
Yeah, just ignore it, it's not unusual. Nothing to worry about.
-
I find it's very much a matter of keeping your legs bent all the time. You want to be fairly low and keep your arse at a steady height. This will help maintain balance sideways and stop the bike from snaking.
