I'm back to post so i'll say my stuff. England has allot of idiots. Idiots for many reasons, self-centered/ arrogant, inability to think before doing, lazy, spoilt etc. The list is endless. I rarely walk down the street, any street and see people smiling. Even in Bristol my second nearest city which is my favourite of England which is nicer than the others even, and i still don't see many happy faces. These days making eye contact with someone is rare. Old people think you want to mug them, smaller people are paranoid from starting a fight, chavs think it's an invite for confrontation, females immediately thinking of their vagina, and there's more. When it comes to work, qualifications don't mean much. If you have a provable knowledge of something you can talk some bullshit and get the job, but if you're up against someone who is a friend of someone in the company, forget about it. Cars. A black hole of money, they are a necessity if you don't live in the city for most people not lucky enough to get working hours/ location that suit public transport. I just spent 25% of my original buying cost on it so i can have it 'trouble free' for a 18 months maybe. The cost is 20% more than i got in a month total. Buying a house? I'm not entirely clued up cause i still live with my parents, which isn't out of choice either. But i know a couple who get minimum wage will have to save real hard for years to secure a deposit before they even start trying to even buy it. When will they finish paying for it? I'd say a minimum of 20 years, allot more if they have kids. As for free time. If you want a girl, a car, a house and friends, forget riding. You'd do it on occasion. But it all depends on what girl you have, if you want stuff to stay clean, if you want to keep your house and car value up etc. Most work places people are tolerable, but there's always politics that makes can be stressful, and if you're unlucky you can get a job where racism, bullying, violence etc is acceptable. The bottom line is, the country is full of assholes who don't care about you, the ones who do get stressed/ depressed etc, or decide it's easier to be the majority and don't give a shit about others. Most people realise the country is just this from a young age. They just deal with it, focus on what life can offer such as riding, love or other hobbies/ sports and just forget what everyone else doing. Which brings me back to my initial point people who don't make eye contact, they're just busy with their own lives and couldn't care less about everything around them. [edit] I should add, many people spend a whole day's wages just to get them to work for the week.

It's not surprising he has a vision of England being amazing when you lot talk BS to him. Yeah he's clearly got some issues but you guys aren't exactly helping your defense of our country being sucky.

ahahah, nice! Though i do like lens burn and floor fade throughs now and again. I did some bike throwing in videos before, definitely half way there. You did forget filming the rider not riding, filming traffic and wildlife (those really do my nut), filming the bike frame (yes tgs), aperture effects, and the use nothing but a huge fisheye on a dlsr for 'better shots'.

So what do people think of trials addicts page on facebook?
eskimo replied to Ben Gosden's topic in Trials Chat
But yet that's what you're doing now? Or what some may think that you are doing now. Whether or not they're legit, often businesses going on public forums is a bad idea. I've read about shit happening from legit companies because they signed up. Maybe that's the case here, because after all, Tarty has the majority following on TF. IMO both companies are as bad as each other for various reasons. Both are doing good things for various reasons too. I'm not going to post back in this thread, because it's clear everyone is very one sided. [edit] Stoopid ass Google Chrome / TF quoting doesn't work properly. -
Voted, and i put i was local. Would make sense if others did too.

Looks cool. Love the fork too. Video soon?

Look pretty cool, whether the performance is improved is another thing we'll have to wait and see. I'd run a pair that's for sure. Since the 04s they've been pretty sucky. Also let's hope they use something slightly stronger too, they've all been pussies and i would never run one on a street bike again. As for the ball ended one, they did that before too. Still got one in the shed.

All of the video or nothing please.

Was always intrigued by these things when i was a kid, now i think they're cool to hear and read about but think they aren't real. I only think that because i like science now. With an increasing population of 6 billion it's not surprising loads of stuff has happened coincidentally. I'm in no way calling people liars, and would totally be up for changing my mind if something like this happened to me, i just can't (not won't) comprehend it. Even if, like i said before, it's real cool hearing about this stuff. I've recently been walking in some dark country roads, wanting to go into the woods, but it's always real muddy. I've found if you've got headphones on, you don't sketch out, even with some trippy music. [edit] Come to think of it, it's pretty shit mind you, me and a friend broke into an old building which hadn't been lived in for a while. It had big rooms, no electricity and all that was left in the one lit up (by daylight) was them oldschool chairs and a massive CRT TV (kinda odd to leave that stuff). We had a smoke in there and we both heard some knocking downstairs. I went to have a look, there was some stairs and it was pitch black down where the noise came from, so obviously being a stoner i was like "nah fook that", sat back down and carried on. We heard it again, and i can't remember how long we waited but it both starting sketching us right out, and it was a definite knocking sound. Yeah we ended up breaking outta there and running across the field laughing. Was about 7/8 years ago. I got another shit one. Funny how you remember things when reading about other peoples stuff. We were like 15 and staying in my friend's tent in his garden, haha. Anyhow, we knew we heard some banging in the middle of the night, turns out somebody stole the mower from the shed while we were right next to it. [Another edit] Remembered one that proper creeps me out, but i'm still cool with it. I've never spoke to my friends who i grew up with about it, because i always forget. I can't remember how old i was, but some of my friends are 4 years older than me. There was this retirement caravan park down my road, this old guy used to go out for walks and if he saw us, he'd give us sweets. I don't remember his name, but everyone thought he was cool. I remember my parents saying, don't talk to him, but why the hell not i'd think. I think cause he lived on the edge of the park next to the field we'd walk down to skip out half the village, we knew where he lived. I remember one day i was bored and i knew it was rude at the time, but i said screw it, and knocked on his door. I remember vaguely remember saying nothing but "can i have some sweets". I think he said that he didn't have much but gave me one of them shitty 10p ice pops. Weirds me out today for obvious reasons. A few years ago i used to be a postman. There was an old dude with a black labrador, nice enough guy, couldn't walk without his stick. He said to me one day, "i used to take pictures of the kids playing and give them the pictures, but the parents don't let me anymore". He also made out that he knew why and seemed generally disappointed by it. I can't remember what i said, but i generally wasn't fussed as i wanted to finish the job and go ride. Being a postman you got to learn how allot of people lived and what allot of people are like.

Didn't expect him to be in a video in 2013. Cool to see Greenland with some riders. Shame about the tune though.

Facebook happened. The community got bigger which creates segregation. The community decided they didn't like all the same bikes at all the same time.
-
Yup. The bbc news make it sound like if you go out you will die. "Take a phone, so you can let others know where you are!" If you're that incapable of driving into a safe spot, parking, walking back, you're probably retarded. We got 3" here and it's still coming down lightly. Must say i'm highly disappointed, there was only a red weather warning 30 miles away and it's supposed to be amber here.

Every sport is petty now and then. I bet football forums discuss sock length from time to time. The reason you quit is pretty daft, and hanging out with trials riders on a trials forum board doesn't do you any favours either. Come back to riding bikes, on a normal street mountain bike, then you can have fun, point and laugh at the rolled forward bar guys. While this rolled forward bar stuff can help, it looks different and therefore weird. Bmx has had it's times with very questionable ideas, with them all originally having a benefit behind them. I'll still continue to laugh at every rolled bar though.

Somewhat disappointed. I saw the list of names, i thought 20 minutes of unseen footage of all these dudes, i got about 3 jumbled up. While the riding was all real good, that's not what i was intending to watch. Should of just done a remix section for one vid of 3-5 minutes of the best stuff, and smashed out all the unseen footage in the other vid. That would of good as your editing is always of a different style. While i'm gonna get called up by individuals about this, this is a review of the edit, so do one.

Another one for the nose manual dreams. Though mine are always realistic, like i'm just sessioning somewhere like a car park and i do slow short ones, which is just plain dumb as i used to have them somewhat. Last night was the first time i dreamt of Halo, i was a spartan, haha. It had riding bikes previous to that and i finished up running around my old school from zombies. f**king zombie dreams, every month i have one. Sometimes scary, others not.

I was just saying it in terms of, organised rides for the brakeless/24"/street riders don't happen much. Like the Phoenix Jam at that park i forgot the name of, while it was a horrible time to ride, it was a great session despite the lack of prizes. Free stuff is a definitely nice, i can't argue that.
-
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhahahahahahahahahahahahaah I've ridden some dumb stuff but that takes the cake. I think i'm gonna laugh this one off for a while. As for Clean 2. Whoever could just organise a ride of 24"/ street goers in a city with some known locations and you'd have a good day. Prizes and judges aren't required to have some fun.

The bashguards are extremely nice. I'd run one of them, if i was in the market for that style. Well done on the designs, good mix between curves and edges.
-
Definitely a nice idea. Screw the tricks/ style judging thing, as you might as well just have a jam then. Just make it an easier trials course/ section but you have to go brakeless. And so it doesn't seem majorly lame, go with no bash/ pedal touching. Watching people bash everything because they can, or sidehoping to pedal because they can't sidehop high enough is lame. Though i can't see it happening unless there's an event that puts on some course/ section like Radfest, cause there's literally nothing else. Though maybe someone single handed could do it with some hard work. Clean worked out really well, think there was like 30 or something riders.

Cool that you made the move after all that work. I feel like saying screw it and doing something, and then i realise that i enjoy my home comforts and toys. I took a mild gamble and ditched a solid job, and then had everything i wanted in sight, though it turns out i was looking through some fog and all three things ended up sucking. Despite knowing allot about myself, over that time i think i learnt more about people and society. However i did make effort to venture into new interests and meet some people. As of Tuesday or Wednesday this week i think i'm gonna be kicked out the door from work (thankfully), for pulling another prank. Despite myself having numerous interests, i think really, i'm just bored of the majority of people around me. UK society is really dull to me. I should just go trip it to America somewhere to see what the people are like there, something i've wanted to do for a few years. So yeah i'm clueless. I know if i give up riding (i've only had probably 6 months off riding in 12/13 years due to injuries) to travel then that's it, there's no coming back. Which to me is scary.
-
Yeah, agreed. I think allot of people just try to be creative for the sake of it, and just end up riding weird spots cause they're lost for ideas. I think Erik got a good balance with skill and originality.

and congratulations go to....(Marino Frame winner announced)

Spoke to Ben Rowlands yesterday (for the first time in a while) and he mentioned this. I was under the impression there was no set rules, i hadn't read the blog as i had no intention of entering, just enjoying some watching. You people are crazy, February to do upto 90 seconds of footage, eeeeeeeeeeeezzzzeeeeeeeee. Seeing as you are all so slack, and my recovery is another step further, i may enter. If i do enter, it'll be on my mod. -
No end to his madness. The skill he has is really really high which is the cool bit.

Jaf perhaps?
