Marino Bike 2013 Team Rider Found & frame order discussion thread

I don't really have a top three, but it's safe to say you're very high on the list anyway. -
Quoting goes invisible for me. Java issue my side? I'm on shitty "i'm gonna give you problems Chrome."

Marino Bike 2013 Team Rider Found & frame order discussion thread

Agreed. 2 months for a frame is really really good. Just think, they may have to wait for materials, tool replacement, spraying and couriers. That doesn't leave much build time.. I too wouldn't excuse his lack of communication, but his build time, that's cool. My first time with Standard was a disaster about 6 years ago, the UK distributor was useless at passing information. 3 months later, i eventually found out that Standard hadn't even started my frame, despite changes being made to the initial design because of what Standard was saying About 2 or 3 years back, i had some forks done from them. They were built and on my door step within a month. I think both my Tritons were on the 3/4 month turn around time too. Though it could be worse. My friend had a Leeson done, i actually can't remember how long that took. Guy was a joke. Remember there's always Jaff too. His stuff is looking gooood! As for Andre, that's great news. Andre is one of the coolest riders i've been able to hang out with. I'd probably stick him in my top 3 -
Riser bars, huh.

The graphics are definitely a nice finish to a good looking frame.

Marino Hulk (Formerly Known As My Old One Aka Green Goblin))

Nice bike. Just not feeling the holes in the gusset or the plastic seat. -
I think the Zoot geometries differed slightly through the years. So i'm not going to say what may or may not be easier. But coming from riding an Element for over a year i can say if you have the skill, the bike will do what it's told. It'll ride transition and street both fine. It'll also go backwards without any trouble. Front wheel tricks are difficult, but what longish bike isn't? That's the only real downfall of the Element, otherwise it'll shred.

In regards to trick/trials aka 24" as most people have deemed it: Some people are going back to their roots but using a more versatile bike, often Inspired's, which have helped the market and scene considerably. Others as said before, got bored of TGS (using the term loosely), or the opposite, got bored of bmx and didn't want to go all the way back. Some don't even ride too much, and 24" bikes are very good for those just looking to go out and social/ do some bunny hops. Then there's the small minority who've just got into trials from watching Danny and have no previous experience or are coming from a DH background and just want to have some fun. I think the competition scene comes across as too serious, which is fair enough obviously. There's really not much more to it than that. I'm in the first category i suppose, and still feel the 24" bikes really aren't bmxs. I still own 2 bmxs and 2 mods because of this. 24" is it's own breed and not a replacement. You can happily go out on 1070mm stocks and do bunny hop manuals, or ride a short mod and ride like the BS dudes.

Such a great vid. Think that's the best you've done Mark. Awesome awesome spots. I think i need to go back to riding solo and get out to ride new places again. Dare i say it, Carl's was the most impressive, he's come a long way. His riding is smoother and techer than ever before. Great job man! Gonna have to watch again shortly. Like said before, Ali's lines were bigger than you could make out, so gonna have to pay attention. I could also spot which gave you some trouble, so nice work for following them through! Harsh bail too. Nice bit of tech in there Flip. Your manuals on both wheels are real real good! Mark, you make me laugh with your opening clip. I can't remember right now, but that nose manual/ manual combo, on something, somewhere stood out to me as being sick.

Quote system is seriously messed up for me. I think those bikes are going to be different. So i wouldn't say they are an upgrade, just an alternative depending on your style.

Not feeling that snare on the build ups. But the rest is kinda cool. Not sure how the other tracks of that genre sound but it's got gaming vibe to the back of it slightly. Never heard of 'trap' before, sounds like hip hop instrumental.

The haters of the haters, hating. Well that's f**king ironic.

Holy high bb. Must be a trials bike.

Well done Sean and Jon! Pretty cool that both the winners aren't British and Jon was riding an Ashton! Oh, and everybody else of course, well done! I thank Ben for picking me to be a judge, it was fun! My favourite rider only received a spot prize unfortunately, but i am happy that they got something though. I will say releasing what points people got was probably not the best idea.

First line was sweet as, one hop per move, perfection!

I'm all for the tech One23. 35x90. One 5mm stacker, on a FSA Orbit MX. And thanks everyone! I received my first dislike on Youtube today

haha yeah. It's still kicking about in the shed, half prepp'd for a spray.

Was wondering where that Gauntlet of Death footage got to. Morgan killed it. Would of liked to see more of that, looks crazy.
-
Almost doesn't cut it. Unless you know what you're doing, don't go changing stuff. Even if you were to say keep the rear end the same, it'll still change despite being the same.
-
None, pussies
-
I think it was supposed to be kept under wraps.
-
You going to release that as a video? Kinda seems like a waste otherwise.

Talk about taking your time
