The inverted pendulum model was something I studied for a control systems module this year (master, Mech Eng) We used this website alot: http://ctms.engin.umich.edu/CTMS/index.php?example=InvertedPendulum§ion=SimulinkModeling While it may look simple and as though its all done, for those guys to use the quadcopter to correct the angle of the pendulum (in 2 directions) is phenomenol!
