  1. Sweet. Have a look at magic lantern firm/software for it. If you shoot loads of video it's got some very useful features.

Hmm, having seen the curb at turn4/5 and the tyre marks showing how they were cutting it, I don't really think anyone can be blamed but the drivers.
  3. Ive watched this sooo many times now. I still prefer WBH but man is this fun!
  4. Ok so - No - The government is not trying to "worsen the economy" And the government don't want to weaken the NHS/Welfare. Those are pretty much the only things people have as a measure of how well they are doing as a government ! if they suck at that they wont get voted for. But if the country cannot afford these things what would you have them do ? If you don't like the government you need to vote for someone else or maybe even start your own party if you have a better idea? I agree that usually the things government come up with are always too short term a fix, as its all about getting in again. The end of capitalism was messy - it was a banking crisis that cost us billions and billions, but was so big, we could not afford it to fail. You state a lot of things in your post as fact Ben but most of them are up for debate - like government bad, protesting good, CO2 levels WILL kill the earth. there are points of view for all sides of these arguments. (+ I hate greenpeace and agree with this...) http://www.cosmosmagazine.com/blog/the-sad-sad-demise-greenpeace/
  5. I thought it was pretty much only hope trial ones that fitted in ?
  6. Won't one of those be much slower than your kit car thingy? And they aren't entirely practical fo a more everyday thing... A lot of wedge for a roof?

You could try selling advertising in the videos? Create a really short into or outro video/ logo splash that you make available to download that people have to put in their videos? Combined YouTube/Vimeo hits for all the videos in the comp should be fairly attractive advertising?

My only comment about changes would be how they are released. I felt like there was too long between first and last releases so just felt a bit like it wasn't really videos for the comp - just videos? I can't / haven't explained that well . I think you should set up a YouTube/ Vimeo channel for the entries and have a one week upload / release period at the end of the filming time. An explosion of videos head to head.
  9. I've seen 550d's new for silly cheap on hotukdeals. Unless you want a flip out and more autofocus points that seems the easiest way to go. Or I guess if you want a second hand 5dII for a real step up in quality?
  10. I hope inspired are going to start drifting 1.5" head tubes onto their other bikes in the future. Cool
  11. having said that - I was smiling all the way through. watched again - More bouncy ball moves please !!
  12. I think i must be on my period - I didn't enjoy that half as much as WBH... A couple of really really cool moves that made me want to pee and a totally rad idea and production. I just prefer his interpretation of stuff that is already there .... front bouncy ball flip to rail was sooooooo cool though.

  16. Enjoyed it a lot. Last clip was a lol.
  17. aren't most of the things you've listed more processor intensive and pretty lightweight on gfx card? Just as an aside my mac mini i5 (not the latest) is just fine for editing video in iMovie full hd from a 5d. I went with the base upgraded the Ram to 8GB for £30 and added an ssd for £50 and its good enough for most things, I have a PS3 for games that I don't play. Im never that bothered at not having usb 3 - as its rare I need to transfer anything big via usb, and anyhow my microserver does all my network storage now...
  18. Surely that's something like the less retarded/inbred mans Cornwall ? Also going to Edinburgh for the duration of the Open as Claire's brother is playing in it
  19. I agree - both appalling - but slightly agree to disagree that they should be similarly portrayed I think that's slightly unfair to assume that most people feel like that. But it's obviously going to affect people more is there is a threat potentially their own way of life, as in this case - and yes I agree this 'fear' can be used in a less than moral way by the media and government. I think it's a sad thing to believe that our government couldn't possibly do anything for the good of another country, and for that matter the UN. What needs is it suiting to have Iraq in the situation it is in now? And forget the past, if you started at zero tomorrow is it better to have a nutter torturing murdering and killing people and threatening other countries with nuclear war a la North Korea or for people who can do something to actually step in? (I'm not suggesting war with North Korea!!)
  20. How can someone be equally appauled by a spur of the moment stabbing by a drunk trained killer in an active zone and a premeditated planned murder in a not at war residential area? I don't think for a moment anyone would read that story and not feel pretty bad and ashamed that there are people like this acting on our behalf abroad. However, We don't really invade places Ben - that seems to imply we actually want to keep them, and to say we shouldn't intervene in extreme cases is pretty low too. In the case of Iraq (bad case as I don't actually think we should have gone), the people were being led by a pretty savage military dictator who did some pretty darn inhumane things to his own people. Violence, murders etc. Should we not try and stop this sort of thing? If we can ? Is it better that we let people like that do whatever they want as long as its not happening here?
  21. Sorry going back a bit... Ben the two things are completely different in the most important ways - motive and situation. I don't see how you can compare a drunk soldier stabbing someone with a planned politically motivated murder? Both are appalling yes, and I'm not naive enough to believe the uk doesn't do anything bad ever, but it's pretty plain that this is a shocker. The pm came back because it is an attack on the uk that resulted in the loss of uk residents lives - it's his job to be here.
