London Cycle Show 2008

Personally, i thought the show was lame for the trials section. Mad had a tiny rig set-up for their demo compared to the massive set-up they had at the recent London Freewheel event. certainly not worth bringing your bike there. and the other set-up was more bmx than trials. This event should go back to massive EXCEL exhibition centre at london docklands. Nice bunch of products though...ill post pics up tomorrow.

As has been said here (Or possibly in another thread), the MAD setup was to allow the public to ride their bikes there, so even if you had your bike you couldn't ride it. But yeah, they had two small sections for total beginners and slightly more experienced riders, so they aren't going to be huge seeing as if you've never ridden a trials bike before, you don't really want a long section and someone with a stopwatch screaming "30 SECONDS!" at you :P

we are there on behalf of 2x2 limited and Land Rover bikes. As Mark said, the whole point of our area is to get people interested into trials and if they fancy it have a go, doesn't matter if there 10 or 60. Then we have the phase bikes there as that is our own brand and is produced by 2x2, so anyone wanting to ride the course has to ride a phase.

Cheers to Jo for letting us have a free for all session with your riders yesterday, was a good laugh.

This was my first time at the London cycle show and I found it to be interesting, it did seem quite basic, but then its not ment to like the bike show with alsorts of entertainment. I think it has been pretty good.

Anyone that does go, check out the 24ct gold bike, now that seems pointless. But if you get a chance too, find the continental stand and see if the continental girl is about.

She is too good to be true.

hahaha heroic.

however he did say he was taking her out ....

in response to the Ashton frames - I would have taken a couple of pics but I forgot - my 24" is going to MBUK with a real spec on it and then coming back to me so I guess If no one has any then you will have to wait until then ...

honestly, Its the last time I buy John drinks. Fair enough........I was stupid to get in one..........but still.......... :giggle:

By the way, There were some mint pics there tyre. Where did you get them from?

All in all it was a massive show for us. Going from pipes and sleepers to ramp building was a huge step......but some of the comments from the pro's make us think we have a future in that.

I found them when i was looking for "Onza Porn" on Google....

seriously though....

I blagged a backstage pass off a male dancer with a curly quiff, (see pic)

nicked a rockNroll Arena T-Shirt off Andrei Burton when he was on the job (again)

and shimmied up the quarter pipe like a urban ninja.

No one took any notice so I took a load of pics!

I was eventually booted out by Scott the "sex machine" cos i didnt give him my number.

Naughty eh?
