350z went today. Good riddance! It's been a pain in the arse since I got it. Was fun though when it was behaving.

whats replacing the 350z?

Ek9 is booked in for a 4 wheel alignment Saturday morning, new discs and pads all round Sunday, track day at Blyton Monday.

Nice 1 liam what pads u go for?  Get up some footage if you can.

Snapped up new karcepts intake yesterday should be with me early next week saves me having to import 1. I have normally just stuck on a new intake and not gave it a 2nd thought but should i get the car back on the dyno afterwards to check over fueling? Ive seen some threads intakes have made cars run lean? Wouldnt mind really seeing if its added a few ponnies also ha

Sold the 206 for £600 in the end, I earned 25% off that - easy moneyyyy!

Still haven't properly identified the issue with my car, I'm going to take it to a local garage for a second opinion I think, otherwise I'll end up spending hours replacing stuff that isn't the problem. I wish I had a load of money I could throw at the car to sort it out properly - it's just lots of little bits that add up, suspension components and bushes mostly.

I think over the winter I'm going to buy some second hand arms and bush them all, then I can replace all the suspension bits too (ball joints, rods, rod ends etc...) - cost shouldn't be too bad, spread over 6 months :)

It's pretty frustrating to have a car that needs sorting and no funds to do it.

What's up with it?

The "hub" issue - I say "hub", because that's still just a best guess. I can't see what else it can be, but then I could end up changing another hub and it's not that. This is the main problem that needs sorting ASAP, so I'm going to take it to a garage and get a few of the guys there to give an opinion. They're very reasonable and they know their stuff on older cars.

Other issues I want / need to sort:

1) New engine needed. Not hugely urgent, but it drinks a lot of oil and fuel - feels down on power compared to others in the club too, so I'd like to swap it out fairly soon.

2) Arches want cutting out at the back and re-welding.

3) Respray would be nice.

4) All the suspension components are pretty worn, would be good to tighten it all up.

That list = ££££

ive gone for carbone lorraines, rc5+ compound for the fronts, yellow stuff for the rear and Mtec discs all round.

In terms of the intake, having the map tweaked would give the best results.

Good day at Blyton yesterday, only 13 cars turned up, plenty of time on track, plenty of space to get good clear laps.

Carbone Lorraines performed perfectly, brake fluid didn't, but I knew the fluid was a bit poor anyway.

The ek9 held up to many laps of abuse, only issues to report are it blew off a boost pipe, once reconnected it had a little leak so I was down around 4 to 5 psi. Nothing major. Also I need new rear tyres but again I knew they was about finished after the last day at cadwell.

When racing was good.

I went for breakfast with Prawn the other day.

A3 looked mega as always, even though last time I saw Prawn he turned up with an owl hanging out the front of his car which had decimated his radiator and aero.

I'm sure it's heart is in the above photo. Poor thing.

This time he assassinated a pheasant. Also poor thing.

Abarth things.

Ordered some of the Abarth Assetto Corse parts, rear roll bar and air intake.

Those owl photos are savage, poor thing :(

In car related news, I have another hub and driveshaft to fit this weekend - I'm hoping it eliminates the strange humming noises. If it doesn't, I'm taking it to a garage for them to have a look at as I'll be stumped.

Just hope the weather improves, as I'm definitely not up for working on it for hours in this rain.
