  1. If it's for your daughter I'd go for a set of the Neon light cranks or the Echo SLs, be more than strong enough!
  2. Probably because the disc mount would snap off after not a lot of riding? A lot of old frames used a generic disc mount that wasn't ideal for trials and the forwards/backwards movement that goes through a trials disc.
  3. How badly buckled is it? If it's as bent as it sounds then you'll struggle to pull it true and round again.
  4. Oui, that's Thumper. Think Rich ran it with either 180 or a 203 BB7 or a Vee, dependant on what tickled his fancy. Check out some of Rich's older "Street Training" videos, should be more ThuMper/D15C goodness.
  5. That would be Rich Pearson's old Thumper beast of a bike! Almost as nice as his old Leeson D15C Really miss my old Pashley GHz... thieving pompey b*****d... grumble grumble
  6. What is this madness?! A photo showing your newly purchased car; why Alex? When a perfectly could description would do.... Should be fun around the Cornish lanes though
  7. Awesome news mate! Congrats!
  8. That and i've seen the lever blade pivot wear its self wobbly. No way to sort it either.
  9. Aye, might only be 20g, but when you've done the rims and everything else apart from the bolts; it's just the next step. The weight saving might be negligible, but shiny shiny so definitely worth it.
  10. As long as you use decent quality tools, decent quality bolts and don't hang off the Allen key like your life depends on it and Ti bolts are fine. Never quite understood why people have so many issues with them.
  11. Totally not worth £ spent per game saved, but so worth it because ti! I've gone to the extent of changing everything I can to Ti, bar spokes; pedal axles brake fittings, grub screws and every single bolt. Doesn't save that much weight, but they're shiny and not steel which is more important IMO. Not really had any issues with them rounding, as said get cap heads or taper head type and you'll be all good.
  12. If you look at pics of that age Monty 221 Ti bike the stems are looooooong and low!
  13. Always found the Torx bit method to work the best, just make sure it's in all the way and square.
  14. Was going to say I had Paul Inch press the bearings out and new in on my hubs for a tenner Luke. After 18 months of having my engine management light on and with the assistance of Mr Rainbird I finally changed my thermostat out. No more check engine light and a car that gets up to and stays up to temperature. Started to buy all the boring bits to rebuild my engine, might get done sometime this decade.... Also bought a 04 LCR to break, bottom end had gone, was local to my dad who could trailer it and was cheap. So he has a set of Brembo 4 pots for the front of his TT and I've got a freshly dipped and skimmed head to rebuild. Going back this weekend for my MOT and to start ripping the LCR to bits to sell.
  15. All types of awesome. His bike control is ridiculous... not human! Personally I thought that music was totally inoffensive and went pretty well with the video. I would guess Chris riding a mountain bike is much more relatable to a huge proportion of Mongoose' potential market when compared to his cyclocross videos. Fairly obvious when you look at their range and see how many drop bar gravel bikes they have compared to MTBs, so makes complete sense for them. Although I agree, that in general MTBendurotrials videos suck, thankfully Ackrigg's videos seem to be an exception to this.
  16. It might be lost in translation, but how is it redundant? Nigh on every post you put up is about getting that little bit higher and inch pinching; a core part of TGS. I'd have thought you would have been at one with the TGS...

    Films!?

Watched Finding Dory, was amazing. Definitely recommend.
  18. Looks like it's been made out of a cheapo steel BMX frame
  19. I thought episode 3 was much better, bit more cohesive. Still seems like there are a few format and content bumps they need to work out; definitely doesn't seem as polished as TG was. Hopefully that'll come with a bit of time. People pay for subscriptions!?
  20. Those born cranks, Echo or Zhi SL cranks. Although none of them are the strongest cranks out there and have a habit of twisting.
  21. In your opinion. I've found Cousts just seem to work, no matter the rim or the conditions. But that's just my experience.
  22. Got bored of my EP3 after 6 months, nice enough, just a bit meh. But then if you like Hondas
  23. Spatter Dan...SPATTER! Also win on the new job!
