Kieran doesn't ride any more, just finished uni in London and is currently DJ'ing all over europe and the UK. Some of us old gits still ride and spend silly amounts on shiny bits.
  4. I can see how as a business owner, if someone is offering an albeit lesser quality , but very similar version of your product; for free, that you would feel that it was devaluing your product and therefore lowering the value to all that make a living from it.
  5. I imagine when he says "fully paid for", he's referring to the admission and camping to the event and no fact you'd get paid for riding. So in answer to your question... diddly squat?!
  6. Have you got a track listing for it? Just started listening, but enjoying it so far
  7. She definitely never said that.
  8. You could get it welded, but because it won't be heat it will be weaker; so could last a ride or a year.... If you have the money and fancy a change i'd buy a new frame, if you're tight for cash and can get it done cheap you might get away with rewelding it. But by the sounds of it the frame is fairly well gone.
  9. They really need to get rid of Chris Evans, he just seems so forced and unnatural. Enjoyed Rory and Chris Harris' segments. Glad they've made the choice to put those two forwards on the main show and have a bit less ginge.
  10. Looks a sweet lil barge that Nick! That looks like a nice interference fit with that valve... So are you advising uprated valves and springs with one of these turbos? Or just a head refresh with new guides and stem seals? Granted I won't be running mine with as high a rev limit as yours.
  11. They introduced Matt LePlonk as the first over-seas presenter, but then didn't even introduce Sabine. Sack off CE and Matt LePlonk, and make Sabine, Chris and the other guy the presenters.
  12. This, the BBC seemed to be calling the first episode a triumph because they had attracted decent viewing figures. But surely irrespective of what you thought of the line up changes etc., most people were curious enough to watch it and find out. I don't think next weeks figures will be as good.
  13. Enjoyed Top Gear: Extra Gear, was exactly what I hoping Top Gear was going to be. Sadly it just felt like they'd removed Clarkson and co, shoved in Evans and Joey and tried to give them a similar script that they just struggled to pull off. It all felt a bit forced and pulled off with a distinct lack of charisma. I did enjoy it, just mainly when there was a lack of Joey and Chris talking.
  14. Yeah normally lay a great big sheet out and use a CNC laser cutter to cut the sections out. It's the fact that each section has to be laid and rolled by hand before a bladder or foam core is inserted and the mould put in an autoclave. Then a lot of the time the frames need hand finishing before they resemble the finished product. Soooo labour intensive, why 99% of all carbon frames are produced in the far east. There are a few mtb companies that are starting to make home grown carbon frames, Cesar Rojo's Unno (pictured above, who I think are Spanish), Alchemy from America and now Hope. Be interesting to see what the UK RRPs are for these frames and how much more it is than other frames available on the market. http://www.hopetech.com/hb-211/
  15. Less heat input with brazing, so doesn't cause as greater affect to the grain structure in the HAZ. Also allows a bit of flexibility in the joint when compared to welding, so gives the frame a very different feel.
  16. Still a bargain, no bolts just means it's time to fit shiny Ti ones! Reckon they'd be any good on the rear of a mod?

    Films!?

Hateful 8 was a typical Taratino film and i loved it. Really enjoyed Straight Outta Compton, but then I have far more N.W.A. albums than I should. Finally got around to watching The Force Awakens and squealed like an excited small child more times than I care to admit. Really enjoyed it, seemed to have a bit of grit and rawness that was missing from the previous 3 films. Went to the cinema to watch Deadpool, first time i've been in years, was so so good! Can see it being a film i'll watch repeatedly. Looking forward to the X-rated directors cut
  18. I imagine that as this is a prototype they are testing functionality and reliability at the present, once that is sorted aesthetics and weight will probably tackled. Be nice to have a solidly made, reliable, user serviceable brake set up; with all part available aftermarket. Probably won’t cost anymore than the Racing Line kit either.
  19. Done it plenty of time with rabbits that have hopped into garden with myxy, so blind you can walk up to them, kindest thing to.
  20. Monty are a bit backwards though, probably why they still use big flat plate type drop outs on all their aluminium frames. The new Monty 219 proto is a bit better than the rest, but still hardly up to date compared to other manufacturers' frames:
  21. New graphics and the minor updates have really improved the look of this bike. Really like it.
  22. Talking about a 4G dongle which has a sim card inside? If so it's entirely dependant on network coverage. But 4G and HSDPA+ should be fine for streaming.
  23. Mainly because lots of people called out for V brake mounts on frames, a few manufacturers obliged and very few people took them up. The hold on a vee is incredible, but the vagueness when it comes to instant bite put me off. I think that's why you don't see many people using them on "proper" trials bikes. Bike looks smart though
