As said above i can't see 4G becoming available for a year or two yet as they're having issues with the bandwidth auction etc. If you have a 4S, which has the up rated (from 7.2 MBPS) 14.4 MBPS maximum data download speed then i think that's as good as you're going to get for the internet for a while. Edit: looks like it's going to be around E.O. 2015 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-18355569

4G might not be available, but getting a phone with hsdpa would certainly help.

Much better

Maybe but he's still pretty damn good on a little bike. Although for some reason it made it all look kinda small

Yes! The shifter will be indexed to pull/release a certain amount of cable that corresponds to the spacing between the gears on the same speed cassette. I.e. the gaps between a 7 speed cassette are larger (less gears on the same width cassette) and as such the amount of cable released/pulled will match; hence mismatched gears and cassettes aren't a good idea.

Enjoyed that Rich. That gap to front in Portsmouth near the Pyramids was huge; shame you edited the noise Is your camera is 1080i/p? If not i apologize, but if so something raped the quality -
I had this years ago and my doctor said it was linked to stress but also a deficiency in yeast could cause it. His recommendation, i joke not, was to drink strong beers and ale Guess it's a double whammy, relieves the stress and the twitch

AS has been said i'd got for second hand shifters and mechs but get a new chain and cassette. Rose bikes are pretty awesome, so cheap!

My New Hand Built Hardtail... 20 Pics.. From Welding To Riding.

Looks awesome, very jealous you've got the skills and the facilities to make your own frame. Something I'd love to do for a job. How do you like Quadra? I was only there for a few weeks about 8 years ago, but fell in love with the place. -
On anything wet (rock or concrete) I've found them to be pretty poor in the dry I've found them really good on natural and street. The one thing I've round is you get very little roll where you would from a normal front nobbly tyre, due t the lack of high profile flexy nobbles. They aren't amazing, but for £15 they're pretty damn good. Now find me a decent weight rear tyre that works!

Got to say Jamie, it looks mint. Really love the colour and the Geo sounds nice (for a mod). I like that Onza have stuck to a simple frame design that is different to others out there, but have added the details like a booster, lack of bash mounts and the integrated tensioners that show the company is listening. Now all they need is a simple Onza logo and frame name in gloss black decals to contrast the Matte purple paint...

Ah shit, forgot it was ye'old cable shift that means a rebuild i'm guessing? DC5 box would be lovely, but there's no point shelling out for a box with a LSD as i want rid of the car at the end of the summer. Was only ever intending to keep it for a year. Balls, fooking cars!

Come on Dave you flipped the other day and over reacted to a comment I made in the thread about G!'s new video. So surely you're contributing to it too? I didn't reply in the thread because i didn't want to start an argument. I think in general the forum is great. The majority of people in the trials community are awesome people, friendly, helpful, polite and a lot of fun. But there are the few ego's out there that do sour the mood a little. It's a shame but there does seem to be a theme of a lack of respect, arrogance and rudeness within some of the younger riders. I don't want to make general sweeping statements because i've met a lot of new people this year, young and older who are exactly what this sport need and I think that's why the sport is growing. And long may it keep growing.

Car (EP3 CTR) keeps popping out of first when crawling at traffic lights and pulling away, any ideas? I was thinking engine/gearbox mounts could be worn? Was also suggested it could be either clutch release bearing or the synchros? Really hoping it's not the latter. I'm totally blaming the woman who owned it for 5 years before me.

As far as I was aware 4130 cromo tubing (I assume that's what he's using) was ok without heat treatment, hence a lot of manufacturers can use it on their lower cost steel frames because it requires no post weld treatment, keeping the costs down; whilst still offering a reasonably light and strong frame.

Really? Think you need to aim a little higher .

I don't understand why anyone would want to use snail cams over Onza's tensioning system. It's simpler and more secure, with finer adjustment. I like it a lot!

I'd say the Rockman Spade or Bonz forks are your best option. Although both are a bit of an unknown entity strength wise. I would say the Rockman's are a more proven product being that they're the same as their 26" forks with lower mounts, however the 26" forks (the earlier ones at least) weren't known for being all that long lasting. I really like the look of the Bonz forks, they look really nice and the steerer tube graphics are a nice touch, however i've been apprehensive about buying some as they're a completely unknown entity to me, i have no idea and haven't seen any reviews or recommendations about Bonz products. So no good or bad, just an unknown. I'm running a set of Echo control 4 bolt forks and have been for the last 3 months and they're holding up fine. I like the extra bit of flex you get, seems to help when tapping etc. But they're straight blade so aren't exactly what you're looking for.

Looks smart Joe, love that colour get a 24" trials frame out in that colour! I guess there will be a shorter? higher? frame with a disc mount for the comp boys?

Or you could just get 3mm taken off of the spacer on each side of the hub, http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/workshop/tartybikes_rear_hub_modification_116mm_to_110mm/c34p11718.html Tarty offer the mod when you buy it new, but i'm sure anyone could do it with a lathe. I would go to say you could do it yourself with a hacksaw and a file and some careful measuring, but looking at the state of your old hub i'm thinking someone with the engineering skills is better suited Damn you Dave beating me to it!
-
I guess there aren't those things because everyone knew what you were like before you went on hiatus and they just can't be f**ked. Maybe people grew and stopped caring... It just gets so so tiresome Jardo.

Think I'll be having one of those spaces dude

Can't say I'm a fan.
