I think it looks great, the drop outs having that extra bit more meat on them to take some abuse is a good idea, the over all finish from the photos also looks really good. I still think that Crewkers have nailed it and a company would have a job on bringing something out that good without a dramatic price drop. any news on the geo?

I heard Ali is the sole reason Scotland voted NO.

I agree with the above, I would firstly try out getting a block of tar and rubbing it onto the brake surface of your wheels. That 90% of the time would improve your braking from the word go. To help you out if you decide to get a grind and if you are stuck take a gander at: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/media/guides.html That will show you how to grind the rear wheel and your brakes will work instantly better, Also: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/vbrake_pads/c84.html any of those pad's prices £25 and above are all pretty decent and would last a fair amount of time with a grind.

Yeah sounds like your sprocket is thinner than your last one, I have some of the really thin 2mm spacers spare that will never be put to use so if you send me over your address I will send one in a letter dude

TartyBikes Open Trial - Shipley Glen, 14th September
Paperclip replied to AdamR28's topic in Trials Chat
I was more so just making the point as it was mentioned in the thread you plan on maybe adding more sections. Having not ridden yesterday I wasn't saying more was needed, having also not rode a comp in a long time I don't personally know what to say regarding self observing. going from yesterday though people tend to want to ride in their own groups I am not sure if that is a plus or negative. Did the paired observers change to another section after the lunch break? It is really awesome that you are taking the time to do this and replying in detail. Do you have any ideas where abouts you will be holding future ones? -

I went up to watch and FUN was had. really want to ride the next one, great idea, great people, anyone can ride any level and you can try any lines you like/think you can do. I couldn't imaging many more sections been added in the future though having two observers per section? -
Chances are that your echo came faced by the shop you bought it from.

In related news?

Looks really nice! I personally think those cranks look a lot nicer than the saint cranks.

Should sort out a ride for next month, It looks good apart from the frame and forks

What rim do you have Jack? Sounds like you have the same problem as I did and I found that I had a really small dent in my rim causing it to not let the tyre seat properly at low pressure. I have tried the tyre on another rim that isn't dented and it is fine. I am talking about a really really small dent too (In a trialtech sl rim). I wish Conti used Wire bead :/

Cheers guys We should have another video ready pretty soon which is the polar opposite to this video (Apart from me). I broke a rib on Friday due to being a retard and thinking "I got this" in the rain. (I didn't got it) so no idea when it will be ready now.

Where's the trials

I think Koxx nailed it when making that frame, The geo and looks are awesome. That is one nice looking bike!

Looks to be enjoying those knee high socks!

Cool video, Slow manuals rock!

Slack head angle, Short CS, Horrendous dropouts, Short arse headtube and next to no reach. Might as well be a Ozonys.

Really really good riding the things he did in that video are unreal for that bike he is definitely something else! I do find for someone of Jacks level and riding a product of Hopetech that the video lacked professionalism in terms of quality and filming, no offence to anyone on that one but perhaps if homemade sort of videos are going to be the case for Jack then he might be best investing in a better camera / equipment. Would love to see a video of Jack doing "A hill in Spain" kind of thing!

If you live near any kind of car garage or tyre garage just take your crank and tool and ask if they will let you use their drill for a second. That does the trick and takes about 10 seconds. Any freewheel tool should fit their drills.

I genuinely wish Maxxis would change their tyre names to "MAXXIS HOLYSHIT" I agree on the tyre bead, If you check that none of the bead is poking through also. Schwalbe tubes are thinner but I found them to be longer lasting than any other tube money can buy, I don't know if because they are slightly thinner and fold with the tyre better.

A great weekend was had, I think the highlight was Fl ipp riding non stop all day on some pretty slippy walls then falling off his bike while being sat down. Hopefully Ian will get around to sorting another Indoor skatepark Jam nearer winter. It would be cool to see more of these in the future, I heard a potential planning of Glasgow / Unit23. In my opinion that would be one of the best places in the UK to hold a jam! (For those who haven't ridden Glasgow before you really really need to)

I kinda prefer chest cam over helmet cam's just so you get to see more of the bike and what is actually happening to some extent. I agree some of those spots look like fun, some also look like riders have not landed quite a few gaps

The usual, He snapped his saint lever and changed his frame. The change of wheels is just a natural thing for riders to do after having such a "bling" pair of wheels for such an amount of time anything was going to top that. From looking at the chain he was running last time I rode with him he doesn't change parts all that often
