  1. nope. only been following the trials thing for bit more than 2 years.
  2. awesome. that guy's style has mccarthy-level bounciness. is he a pro-rider or just some guy?
  3. possibly. but i still rather see a bit of anarchism than all those 'professional' kids with their conformity and drones and sponsor logos without being sponsored.
  4. nonsense! it was a nice short video and i always liked his mod stuff way more. also, i'm totally pro-capriciousness. Go, G!
  5. you can get cosmetics help from tarty too?
  6. below middle and ring finger both sides, in spite of using gloves all the time (i rode once in the rain without gloves and got multi-storied blisters for months...) and i can't stop picking /biting away the dead skin, which makes everything an ugly infected mess!
  7. seeing you trying to tap that is probably not a pretty sight though.
  8. funniest thing i've seen in a while: http://www.booooooom.com/2016/05/09/bicycles-built-based-on-peoples-attempts-to-draw-them-from-memory/
  9. there is a user on here who is a mother who manages a young-ish female trials rider. most likely she can give you the best info. can't really remember the username, i think something with "love bike trials for girls".
  10. aren't you like twice his height?

    Ali C Vlog

as also a non-native speaker, my guess would be that it indicates that ali says quirky things like La Fabuleuse Amélie irl.
  12. i use some leftover hosing from my espresso machine.
  13. please not another one. let this die already.
  14. caustic soda (natriumhydroxid) is pretty reactive, so check on safety tips before mixing it with water. especially if you need large quantities. i've only handled it once or so in small batches for photography stuff. it does generate heat while dissolving and reacts quite a bit. for dissolving it needs a container bigger than the final volume (iirc).

man, it's your lack of humor that bothers me even more than your edgy pretend-racism.

well, i did say "asian". also, obviously, massive statistical data analysis went into that post ( wanted to write "10x", then thought of james b. and decided not to overdo it)

yay! racism. and not even a funny one. there are probably about 5x more awesome asian riders on youtube right now than american ones and i think not a single interesting american trials company on the market. but, yeah... go 'mericuh!
  19. since probably quite a lot of people run a trial zone / hs33 combo, i wonder why they aren't leaning more towards the trial zone disc brake levers designwise. i guess many would like that, if just for tidyness on the handlebars. probably just not feasible. also very interested if the slaves will be an improvement over the maguras.
  20. thanks for the names. i think you're a bit over-weighting my statement. it really was mostly surprise that i hadn't seen it before. i did a quick youtube search for the names i didn't know in your first post and didn't really find anything.
  21. well yeah. i meant people who stick with it, not just tried it once or did it for one video. also i meant trials-specific frames, not street or - god beware - FGFS stuff. (watching the video, it caught me by surprise that i don't think i've seen anyone going brakeless on a 26er trials bike before.)
  22. is he the only one doing brakeless 26? first one i've seen.
  23. i've had the stuck piston twice now. but each time it was after a prolonged period of inactivity - hadn't ridden the bike for 2-3 months. i never had it happen when in regular use. ( iirc occasional freezing of the brake was involved too each time)
