  1. now that's some progressive thinking in here... finger was enough in my case. i have the new ones with the plastic bleed screws which i always put aside as far away as possible since they break from even looking at them in the wrong way. that's why using it didn't even cross my mind
  2. my supershitty pump (for schrader valves) fits almost exactly on the head of the shroud nut. put your finger on the the bleed hole to block it. then blow the piston out. might take some time to move it and might not work if they are stuck really hard. but worth a try before running outand searching for a compressor
  3. piston stuck? happened to me a few times. took them apart and let them dry out for a few days/weeks - per adams recommendation - put them back together with some lubing and work like a charm again.
  4. i'd assume a FFW it would prevent chain lengthening a bit. because the opposite force from the back pushes it back together.
  5. i love that TF constantly reminds me of Peep Show.
  6. it did sound a bit like exactly that.
  7. you do know they have a poisonous sting...??
  8. bumping this, because i just found this: http://www.profileracing.com/2012/03/q-and-a-which-spindle-do-i-need-part-1/ profile deem just 19mm of contact between 48tooth spindle and cranks arms as safe! i'm actually in the clear. this is way less than what i assumed as optimal / safe
  9. can't you get like a used iphone to bridge the gap? i get along pretty well with android. but if you like the iphone, just stick with it. they are pretty good and reliable phones. i just have a general distaste for everything apple.
  10. you will be sentenced to become the other persons's butler.
  11. activity stream preview killed your joke, you meanie!
  12. one thing not mentioned, i was kind of asking myself lately: you do the tap with front brake open or closed?
  13. is it a resprayed open space? to me it looks a bit like it.
  14. you're the james turner of bike photography!
  15. didn't you guys like the little twirl just before 2:30?
  16. i don't think this anymore... on our level we can get on all the obstacles with just tucking the legs and a bit of sideways movement. at least as long as your obstacles are lower than your hips (which is quite high on a bike). skip the playmobilics and ride your bike more. get off the brakes and try to get more comfortable on the back wheel. for me the sidehop became much more of a riding/ flicking the bike kind of motion, which is way more enjoyable than trying to yank the bike upwards - parallel and tight against the wall.
  17. i thought he was mostly doing it himself - then just adding the noscript tags is pretty easy. if working with templates, ignore it indeed.
  18. i usually browse with the noscript-addon and only turn it on when i really want to. i think the no-javascript-alternative is just good practice for all eventualities.
  19. this is how your "portraiture" gallery looks like without javascript. (the other two galleries are better - all pictures in a row) you probably should add a "please activate your js" <noscript> alternative.
