  1. Only one wall means a bigger air volume and a bit more bounce.
  2. I've had a front one for the last 5 months and it's been aboslutely fine. Nice light and seemibly strong rim. The coating they use on the sidewalls is pretty tough and the alu fairly hard, so if you're grinding it the first grind will take a bit of effort and aggression to remove the coating and get a decent grind. But then the grind seems to last a long time. Not sure what the rear is like, but if it's anything like the front rim I don't think you'd have a problem
  3. Hound Tor and Bone Hill are the main one's people ride, but there are loads of smaller ones that are a good ride too. I only got back onto facebook for the Southwest trials group, there is always a ride being posted up there. Would mean you be able to see where were all riding and tag along if you wish. Much easier to find spots if someone shows you!
  4. Starboard- Star, bright, right. That's the way i remember it
  5. But that's where the market is these days I guess. Plus the majority of parts out there are strong and light enough to be seen on a TGS or a comp bike.
  6. There's a group of us from Plymouth that ride here and Dartmoor pretty much every weekend. Check the Southwest trials group on facebook, rides are pretty much always posted on there.
  7. That was all types of awesome thoroughly enjoyed that!
  8. Aurelien is quickly becoming one of my favourite riders, big moves with lots of control. Sergio's videos on the other hand, don't think i've watched one and thought "wow that was awesome". Never seem to be that well filmed and the music always makes me cringe. It's almost like it's his signature to put crap music with them
  9. It's ever since he's started to ride bikes with a higher BB, but yeah seems to have made a marked step up this year.
  10. Seems that way! The dropouts are just genric catalogue jobs, certainly not the custom CNC stuff you normally see from an Orange.
  11. Yeah the downtube on that bike isn't a folded and then seam welded monocoque tube. It's definitely an Effect.
  12. Rowan i didn't realise you still had a bike! Or is this a work issued one?
  13. In that picture it's secured by the straps, but from how i read it on other sites yesterday it was originally not strapped and just hanging via the chains. May have read it wrong though.
  14. I read they had a platform suspended between trees via chains.... scary enough in the dry let alone in the wet! I don't think the sections would have been such an issue if they had just prepper them in the expectance of having rain. It just doesn't make the sport look very professional when everyone is just slipping, sliding and falling off on every section.
  15. It is an Diamondback Ashton effect frame, I had a proto frame off of Rowan and it was identical.
  16. You have to remember Rusevelt lives in a parallel universe so he does struggle with things over here.
  17. There's also the newer 157x12mm. I'd discount Sram 11 sped stuff for DH, there is just no need for the huge range and the massive top end gears.
  18. Haha yeah that's fair enough Sam, guess were just old gits!
  19. Thankyou for getting me back on a lamb of god session its been too long!
  20. If you're only into trials then not knowing Curtis is fair enough, but if you ride mtb the Gary Curtis should be a fairly recognisable name.
  21. What set up are you currently running?? I've been running a Stiky Lite with a cheap £2 tube at about 18psi and have got maybe one puncture in 6 months, in fact i can't actually remember getting one.
  22. I'm sure issues with how comfortable the frame is to ride, is down to the set up of the bike and not so much the frame itself. The geo is very similar to a lot of popular frames. Which Limey 3 did you have? The black and silver of the white one?
  23. Why is it a strange place? They've snapped at the end of the clamping area reinforcement and where the bars taper down to the bend-grip area.
  24. Muel pretty much spot on, she's hated by the people that lost those jobs, but she was the only one with big enough balls to do something about the shit situation this country was in. She made some tough decisions that affected a lot of people in this country detrimentally, but if she didn't we'd all be worse off. The unions didn't really do themselves any favours, they committed to long term strike action within industries that were already on their knees. That and she took the milk away from us school kids
  25. The riding was awesome, but Sergio's editing, camera angle etc and music choice hasn't got any better at all.
