I heard Dave was up at Eurobike but didn't realise this was the launch party! Bike looks awesome, I'm sure it'll be a big hit. Nice to see a high end manufacturer considering those with a slightly lower budget. The Hex looks nice as well, but I'm not too keen on the graphics, but It looks a beaut. The colour is sweet and the seat tube length looks perfect to slam the seat and get it right out of the way. From the whispers and rumours I heard regarding the geo I was already very excited about the Hex. Better still is that the final tweaks would suggest it'll suit me even more. This is going to be big. If you were after a 'pure' trials frame then I don't think you'd realistically expect Inspired to make one, whereas you would expect them to do a street-with-a-seat style bike. If the head angle was 85 degrees, even with a 1020 wheelbase the bike would feel very long. The wheelbase by itself doesn't dictate how long the bike feels. the fourplay team 24 will have a rear disk also??? i dont get it Two 24" frames will be released separately, one V-Brake only and one Disc & 4-Bolt. I'd go back and re-edit that one, it makes no sense at all. The point is with these bikes, as with the Fourplay, the people looking at them and potentially intrigued by them will "get" the reasoning behind the seat, the geo etc. I don't think the brand will need to reach out to a new generation as there is a pretty select market out there that will want these bikes, will know about them already, will understand the reasoning behind them and will buy them. Think with the bit I've highlighted, if I'm deciphering it right, then you're thinking a little too in depth about the marketing and promotion about a very specialist piece of kit in a very small market (you're chatting shit). There's a gap in the market for bikes like this that other companies have tried to fill but don't really appear to have invested the same amount of time or effort into. This bike isn't going to be hard to sell because the frame itself is one of the best available at the moment in terms of how well thought out and designed it is, it has some of the best geometry for this type of riding/bike out of any other 'streety' 26" bike out there, and Inspired themselves are a brand that's respected around the world. The complete bike spec is pretty amazing for the money. I genuinely don't see this being a problem at all to sell. When Dave and Jon brought the range here to try and get the product photos done I even said then I couldn't wait for these to become 'live' simply because they're so good they literally sell themselves. Mark W Posted September 6, 2010 Report Share Posted September 6, 2010 They use their own shaped dropouts with a custom mech hanger which means you can either run them without a hanger and it looks all smooth and awesome or you can run it with the hanger on there and have the ability to run a tensioner on a nice sturdy setup. Mark, remember that some of these young pups in the trials world don't remember when a bicycle had a seat (or at least had one zip tied onto the area where the protuding seat tube used to be...) These kids never knew the old school, or had Union Flag headtube graphics or blue top tube pads because the Tongue Brothers used them and they were cool.
