MadManMike
Anyone have experience of keeping algae / green crap away from paving slabs? It seems the more I pressure wash them, the quicker it comes back again. If you Google it, you just get loads of adverts rather than actual advice. I cleaned the whole garden about 3 months ago and now it looks like an abandoned property already... Any tips??
forteh
I think you can get a sealer to paint over them, not used it myself thoughđ
J.KYDD
Does TF still have a heartbeat?! I may be posting this into the void, but I'm super stoked to be getting back on the property ladder after 18-months since flogging my last place following breaking up with the ex.  https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/155532743#/?channel=RES_BUY She's a proper doer-upper but I'm excided to get cracking into a project. My best mate has also bought the end-of-terrace house, so we'll be renovating together

Also, hello neighbour (almost), I live in a little village in Wales that's about 45 minutes away. Nice location for mountain biking as well, being right next door to FoD! kensmith
Huge congrats to everyone whoâs completed recentlyâdefinitely feels like weâre joining the âgrown-upâ club now đ We just viewed a place this week and absolutely fell in love. It ticks all the boxes for us: decent garden, good location, and surprisingly within budget. We already messaged the owner saying weâre ready to make an offer and will be getting in touch with the estate agent first thing tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed! Since weâre first-time buyers, weâre hoping that gives us a bit of an edge. Still shopping around for the best mortgage dealâwhoâs everyone gone with? Weâve heard good things about Nationwide and Halifax for first-timers.

Its ex-council and had a re-wire in 2007, and has a new combi boiler too. Top priority is ripping the kitchen out straight away, so will need some wiring sorted there for moving some sockets etc. Theres an internal boxed soil-stack too which is awkward so i'll be removing that and making it external so the kitchen worktop is more useable. Yeah the main FOD off-piste trails are a 4 minute ride from the front door đ
