I work for the MOD, just finished a post working in Laser safety, before that i was working at RAF Brize Norton working with the RAF Boeing C17's and in September i start working for the In Service Submarines team and HMNB Devonport looking after the nuclear subs that come in. It's pretty cool, get to see some cool stuff and also some pretty bad stuff.

Halfords bum boy.

Also work in an independent motor spares, which is also a Cyclelife. Sell car parts and entertainment, motorcycle accessories, bicycles, bicycle parts, RC cars/planes/heli's, darts, kites, model kits. Anything that is cool we will sell, if we don't have it we will open an account if the demand is there. Get cost price on everything, which is actually awesome!

I work for bt maintaining their cars, vans, truck and plant(which is about the only interesting bit)

I hate and love it in equal amounts, I hate the fact thats its repetitive, quite dirty, I also hate the job security, and the way its kind of a job for life( as ive got pension plans, employee share plans and the like) which sounds mad, but i keep saying i want to go do a ski season, then a season in a clubbing resort, but i feel like im throwing too much away to leave.

on the other side i love the flexibility of having a 4 day week, then being able to turn in on my day off, earn a wad of extra cash, an then still have the weekend to myself, then other weeks being able to just have my day off in the week to chill.

I'm an aerospace quality engineer at a company called Praxair Surface Technologies. We apply coatings to jet engine parts (and gas turbine/helicopter) which can increase service life around 7 times. It can be interesting work but most people don't realise just how many standards you have to ensure you work by in aerospace which involves horrific amounts of reports and general admin! Especially if the work is with Rolls-Royce, which most of ours is!

I finish in 2 weeks as this job is for my year sandwhich placement and I go back to finish studying at Aston Uni in October.

My other "job" will hopefully be apparent in the near future. :turned:

Sweet, I'm in the same industry :)

We supply Electrical / Fibre Optic connectors for aircraft - military, commercial and other stuff like submarines, navy ships and even F1 cars and Sunseeker luxury yachts. It's interesting stuff!
