How old are you? That's a pretty naïve point of view. Almost all jobs are repetitive shit everyday for pay that is never as good as you want it to be.

Well it depends if the 'same shit' is good shit, if you like the shit that you have to do each and every day in exchange for money, then that's a winner. If you despise what you do then obviously you're going to think the pay is too low, but if you find a job that you find interesting and fulfilling you'll probably spend less time worrying that you're only on 0.14p per second you're at work.

Gathered the balls to walk up to the HR person at work and discuss my leave notice. I'm not keen on this job because it affects my lifestyle and its shit. She told me the deal with the company and how things are going to 'pick up rapidly' in the next month or two and she said she will forget about the conversation we had and let me think about it properly.

Pay to effort / social sacrifices i make just doesn't add up. I'm on 40 Hours at £5.13 doing more work than the guys based on a good salary. What i want to do is the odd job here and there, getting money when I need/want it rather than walking in to this place doing the same repetitive tasks every day for 8 hours.

I'm happy i said something about it.

I only see 2 main reason to quit a job:

1. it is impossible to do it anymore, for example you are moving, or the work you are not able to to the job, for example if they would give me a night time shift I would quit, as I cannot live my life while working night time.

2. you have a new job lined up. This is what you want to do, because who knows when you can find a new job, a week, 2 weeks, 2 month.. and that steady income will be missed

So I would find a new job, different place and pay, give a management a note/email that you will leave in 2 weeks, send it to the accountant too

This is what I have done and it works

Some people need the push to find a new job that finding yourself unemployed gives you though. Having the security of a paycheque coming in every month can be enough to stop people from really trying to break out of that cycle, whereas if you cut yourself loose you have to try and make things work. Obviously it's not an ideal scenario for everyone, but everyone I know who's quit their job because they weren't enjoying it has found some kind of new, better job fairly quickly afterwards.

That's work for you at the age you are. I'm in an 8-5pm job, so 9 hours and sometimes more for not much money than you're on. Stick it out, but keep your ears open and see what's out there but don't leave yourself with nothing. I've sacrificed my social life during the weeks to pull 12 hours+ on the days I get the extra work, and while it's not always financially worth my time every time, I see it as money I wouldn't have had otherwise. "Every little helps" and all that shit.

It's looking to be a good weekend, protein order in for delivery today (dying for some almond butter!), forks and stem should be here by Saturday so I can finish my bike and after 6 months I finally got around to ordering a MAF sensor for the Yaris to cure it's misfire!

I was a bit gutted I missed out on a steel version of the same bike, albeit in standard spec for £90 a couple of weeks ago.

Same as that without a chain that's way too long and a few nicer bits.

For my next trick I'm going to see if he's interested in taking a GoPro (that I obviously paid quite a lot less than that for, but has similar or greater value) as payment

The thing on the left looks like a bannister

At first glance I thought it was a bannister, some wipes and a pink rubber glove. Clicked the full size one and clocked what the one on the left was, but don't know why you'd get a dildo version of Dr. Zoidberg's tentacles.

That's kinda what I thought, I thought George was a handyman and was doing some sort of stair repair!
